I'm soooo sorry Jenny that really stinks!! I just tried to call them and find out if they were booked and they gave me the run-around. Apparently they don't equip their receptionist with the ability to look to see whether a date is open or not and 'all the Banquet managers are currently busy' (yeah, I'm soooo sure) and they want to call me back.

So -- if they tell you ONE person was interested in the date, don't get excited, it was just me trying to look into it for you!!!

Hi Jenny! A friend of mine canceled on her location & they also wouldn't return her calls. Has anyone else (maybe a friend or family member) called to see if they are available that day? She found out through a friend that they HAD rebooked & were avoiding telling her so they could keep her $. I'm a Scotto bride as well but ya never know how 'one bad apple ruins the bunch!'

Keep calling and leaving messages.
I think your best bet is to suck it up, as hard as that is, and make time to go there in person.

Hi Jenny!!!

My only complaint about the Watermill was just that! They didn't return my sister in law's calls after the wedding. They promised her they would reimburse her because 40 people didn't show to the wedding due to the blizzard so they said they would credit her or give her half back or something like that and they still have yet to call her back. She has left countless messages too! Just stinks!!!

I just wish I could put this all behind me and with the date approaching the days are seeming alittle harder,,,and this just does not make it any easier. I'm trying to be hopeful and strong,,,but it's hard


I can imagine! How about this.....On the date....we plan a GTG and eat bad food and drink ourselves to sleep!!!!!!! Or something like that? What do you say?

I could not even imagine being anywhere near that place on that day. While I know this is for the best, it's hurting to think of that dat approaching,,,and all the I should be's of the day.


I can imagine hunny!!! Seriously though, if you're up to doing something. We can set something up! No wedding talk!

My only advice to you is this, I know it may not be around the corner, but you MUST go in person if they're not returning your calls. They cant avoid you so much if you are there in person......its bulls&*#!

Take someone with you who is aggressive, do you have a friend or a family member that is very blunt and wont take no for an answer? If so, bring that person with you! Unfortunatley, things happen, and its not anyones fault, the least they can do is have some compassion!

If you dont have a check in your hand when you leave that day, be sure not to leave that place without a fully signed agreement. They wont offer, YOu will have to ask for one!

Sounds like you need to free up some time and get yourself over there and confront them in person. Apparently phone calls arent working!!

That is so terrible! I acn't beieve they won't return your calls. I would call again and threaten to report them to the better business bureau if they don't return your call. In addition I would threaten to call the local newspapers.

Send them a certified letter with your questions and request that they respond via mail.

It's been offically cancelled,,,but I want answers to what to do now.

I work all week long 2 jobs, so it's hard. Weekends are all I have,,and they are too busy with weddings.


Maybe that would be the time to go then? Maybe you will be less likely to get the run around, since they will have other things going on. And you can remind them that none of your calls were returned, and you work during the week, which necessitated the visit.

It seems your only options are a certified letter or taking a couple of hours off of work to go there in person. I don't know they have to make a difficult situation even more difficult for you.
