Congrats & Welcome...if you are looking for something unique, maybe you can check out the Nassau Museum of Art... the have on-site catering.
As far as other halls in Nassau....it depends on how my ppl & what type of menu you want....

The best way to haggle a better price is to book a holiday or not have it on a Sat night...that usually cuts the price right away!

Re: New Bride-To-Be

Well congrats! I see you anticipate a 2006 wedding...Welcome from another 2006 bride...We are having our reception at the Floral Terrace in Floral Park...FH & I fell in love with the place..it is a different appeal...Also it is 1 wedding at a time...

You have to know exactly what is important to you...Are you having a small wedding or big?? Ther are tons of places to look...

Getting the best price is always nice...It helps to get married 'off season' but sometimes that is not possible...I am lucky to have a FH in sales, so I just tell him what I want & he does the negoitating!

Good luck

Went to a wedding at Areca in Plainview. It was beautiful and it has new ownership so I think they would be willing to negotiate. It's on a man made lake in a private community.

Hi and welcome!! Another 2006 bride here. We are having our reception at the Riviera. I love that they only have 1 affair at a time (that was important to me). It's right on the water and it's also reasonably priced. Here is their website in case you want to take a look.

Re: New Bride-To-Be

What about the george washington manor. I went to see it but decided against it only bc everyone in my family gets married there and I wanted to do something different.
But anyways... They were inexpensive and I have been to a lot of weddings there (from 25 guests..my parents... to large parties). It is very pretty and has great history.. if you are into that.. food is good too!

I am still considering them for my rehersal dinner in one of their upstairs rooms.
