im getting married august 06 and we booked some things now, were paying down payment of course and then when we can making payments as much as possible so in 2 years were not hit all at once by everyone.. plus then when we get home from HM were not in debt.

March 31, 2006 bride here...We have been paying the down payments & then some payments along the way...They are spread out so that everything is paid 8 days from the wedding...FH wasn't happy with this though He wanted to pay everything closer to the wedding because he feels companies are making interest on our money!! He is so financially conscious!

Most vendors require you to pay in installments just because we are 2006....They kept telling us, if you were 2005 your payments would not be spread as much...The payments are not bad though...I don't want to bills once this wedding is done, so I think it is a good thing, even though I agree with FH

I did the same thing when I booked all my vendors in 2002 for my Sept 2004 wedding.
