Re: Annoying Co-Workers...stories!

ugh, how much time do you have?
One guy comes in at least a half hour late everyday and he's SOOOO annoying. He looks at my screen all the time and makes stupid jokes. (I had my yahoo mail up and he goes 'You've got mail' Mind you business a-hole.
and other people who are just stupid. a boss who's a complete wimp and with some things I know more than he does. It;s scary.
and forget about the callers (wanting tech support)... I need to leave soon!!

Hee.

We all know my story. I think it's a 'closed case' now.

That's really it, thankfully.

Actually, where I sit presently I have NO annoying co-workers.. everyone is pretty quiet and we all keep to ourselves. I really LOVE quiet

But where I used to sit , on another floor... it was a constant invasion of personal space and people who would INSIST on screaming their personal conversations at the top of their lungs

maybe not annoying.. but bizarre

we had this one guy who took his two week vacation cause he had to go to the UFO Convention in Nevada to tell his story about his abduction -- seriously

and when he was let go he was replaced by the current guy we have here now - we all work 9-5, he works 11-7 and EVERY morning when we come in all of the things are unplugged - printers, fax machines, radios - everything - even stuff not in his cube and in ours....

no idea what - and we've asked him not to - and he still does EVERYDAY

dont know what he thinks is going to be coming through those plugs...

maybe aliens from the guy he replaced

LOL

The Stealth Sidler is this guy who insists on rolling up to my cubicle in his desk chair and waiting silently for me to notice him so he can talk politics, indy music and literature with me. Really, it's not as fun as you think. Seriously, I want to hang a bell around his neck so i can hear him coming and hide under my desk! I stonewalled him for a full minute the other day. The worst is that he speaks so quietly i can't understand 2/3s of what he says. Not like I care anyway, but still. If you're going to annoy me, at least speak up. He's very intelligent and artsy (which I used to be, but now I'm stupid and lame, so deal with it, I have.) and at first it was nice to chat with him, but after 2 years he's tiresome and repetitive and please, for the love of God, SPEAK UP!!! He's always burning me CDs of really bad music (euro-trash opera....wha????) and not just like 2 or 3 CDs, like 30! I told him to stop with the CDs becuase I don't have room for them. And my desk is littered with all his trite, forced, 'humorous' observations about politics, music, and books written on obnoxiously bright post-it notes in hand writing that resembles that of a serial killer.

And don't even get me started on the magazines, and artcles he leaves on my desk for me 'to peruse as you'll find them amusing.' Seriously, who talks like that in reality world?

Re: Annoying Co-Workers...stories!

Ok here is mine:

I used to be a weather forecaster for the military and when we were in Kuwait last year we only had one computer between about 10 of us to check personal e-mail the rest of our computers were classified computers.

Well in order to create a weather forecast we had to go on the unsecure computer that my boss was always on. Now I understand you gotta write home b/c you miss it but work has to get done and when I would jump on there he would ask me every 2-3 mins if I was almost done. Sitting behind me eating (he was a big oversized) and watching everything I did. I think that has to be the most annoying when you can feel them sitting behind you staring over your shoulder!!

Then he would hear gossip regarding who was leaving and when and would spread the gossip. I swear he was worse than any rumor mill I ever seen, eventually ever time he would come in and say 'I heard so and so say...' everyone would tell him 'ok we'll believe it when we see it!'

OMG , this is too funny, but my brother in law does the SAME THING!!!!!! It's not as bad as your co-worker though - he just unplugs one thing. It drives my sister nuts bc she'll come home and see all the burners from the stove (electrical) taken out and placed on the counter!!! He thinks they're going to spontaneously bust into flames or something...he has a mild case of OCD - it's not severe, just enough for us to all tease him about it

I know!! Maybe the aliens gave your co-worker a bad case of OCD when they abducted him???? Man, some people!

Ha! He sounds like one of those artsy indie kids who studied English in college, read Neseau by Jean-Paul Sartre like it was the only book ever worth reading, and only liked the most obscure bands because they were obscure. I had so many friends like that back in the day!
