I don't think it was someone on here. I mean, how was the lady from the hall able to recognie the caller was you. No one here has your last name and I don't think BM at your hall knows everyone all the brides by their first names?

I just emailed BM to see if they said my first and last name, or just my first name. I don't know why anybody would do it at all. I'm not accusing anybody on this site...I really don't think that it was one of you- you're all so nice! However, as we all know, it's a public board and there are non-posters reading also.

Also, I did call the number and got a receptionist.

Yeah, you need to find out. I mean, how would she know if it was you unless the person said your first AND last name. And really, I don't think it was anyone trying to be you. I think it was someone else looking for info or maybe a wrong number.

Okay, so I just got an email back, and she said that the person left my first and last name, and that wrong number- but no wedding date. So I guess it is POSSIBLE that it was someone with my same name, but I think I'll still leave my info. off of my account for a little while.

Ok, then it's really not possible that it's someone who is a member or visitor to this website because none of us know your last name. -whew, that's good to know.

unless of course its the receptionist....?????
dun, dun dun... (Law & Order sound)

You are too funny MegShea!

It could have been anyone, really. My point was that, like you said, it is a public forum, and there are lurkers and who knows you know?

What's the name of the place? Post it and if it's someone on here (which I doubt it's a member) put them on blast!

Re: Someone called my hall and said they were me

Are you sure it was not a mistake on the part of your hall?

If not, do you think that it was a nosy friend or acquaintance? I have a so-called friend who would do anything to find out how much money I am spending, how much I negotiated, etc. When another friend got married, she spread rumors that they were late with all their vendor payments and that the BM gifts were from a dollar store. I saw the gifts and I know where they were from--not a dollar store at all.

I do believe that it could also easily be someone from here. There are a lot of sick people out to mess with other people's weddings.

Please make sure that your hall remembers what happened and that they will verify any changes with you.

The people propbably got the message wrong. Maybe another bride called and they got the info messed up, probably just an innocent mistake.

Re: .

Did you ever think it was a scorned vendor? Would anyone have a reason to try to mess something up?

Re: .

I think the hall just messed up. THey prolly just confused you with a legitimate bride at that office.

If they were trying to be deceptive, they would not have left a phone number.
