Re: Hairdryers (AKA What, Me Worry?)
I think it's your angry hair.
I had a similar problem with tvs, and it was not as my brother suspected, my poor choice in programing or my excessive hours or tv watching, but it was bad wiring.
I guess you can't blame it on that thoguh, so maybe it is the hairdriers.
I had problems years ago, but usually they just stop working.

Re: Hairdryers (AKA What, Me Worry?)
I can't count how many of those little conairs I have burned through ( I am a little disappointed mine didn't include the fireworks). I think that they are made for people with thin or balding hair. I now have a Revlon Ionic dryer and it works well for me. I am considering moving up to the big time hairdryers, but I think DH might have a small stroke.

Re: Hairdryers (AKA What, Me Worry?)
Also being a 'funky curly hair' girl like yourself, I can say that I've had blowdryers die on me before. Probably because it takes 90 minutes to dry my hair with a regular dryer. I haven't had fire though -- just in the kitchen
I have that T3 Tourmaline blowdryer that costs like $200 but it's worth every penny. I'm down to 30 minutes to straighten my hair (instead of 90) and it hasn't conked out once

i use the super solano. i've had it for 2 years, and i've had absolutely no problems with it. it is on the pricier side--i think i paid around $80??

i have the solano too and its worth it. The cheap ones do break easily.
I am investing in a T3 when my solano breaks - i am actually waiting until it happens!

Hey, why is 'curly' in quotes? You don't have to be all incredulous and eye-rolly about the hair!
The reasons I put 'curly' in quotes (look, I did it again! ) are twofold (I love saying twofold). 1. I also don't believe you have curly hair 2. i thought 'Curly' would be a cute nickname for you that would annoy you with it's cuteness
