what does the BM dress look like? it is really low? i mean with 10 days left there is nothing you or she can do. just encourage her, tell her that she is going to look wonderful and that you are sorry she isnt comfortable but maybe she will be pleasantly surprised on the day of.

Re: I REALLY Need your ADVICE!!

Did you ask any of the other BM what they think?

I was uncomfortable in my best friend's BM dress because I don't do strapless, but I sucked it up and never said anything. It's all about personal preference. It's what my friend picked for us to wear, and BMs wear it. That's it.

Whoa! Now I just read your second post. That's her own fault then. She needs to be an adult and deal with it.

I have to agree. Don't let her make you feel bad, she had an opportunity to have brought this up months ago if she had gone with you or even picked the dress up earlier.

I would just tell her that she will look beautiful.

Yeah, if she wasn't a part of picking out the dress she really can't complain about it much. Also, telling you something like that should be done over the phone or in person.... kinda rude to send you an e-mail. Just remember that she had her chance to have input on what dress she would be wearing and she missed that opportunity. Now you can look forward to having a wonderful wedding and if she is a bit uncomfortable in her dress, she will have to deal with it. It will be wonderful!

It's her own fault!!!!!!!! I have the same style dress, but the halter style. When my niece tried it on, we realized that it was very revealing, so we ordered extra fabric so that it could be sewn in as a modesty piece for her.

If your friend had bothered to come and expressed interest, she would have seen this a long time ago!!!!!!!! This is not your fault hun!!!! Let her take care of it on her own. She is just doing more to make you upset!

When we were in the store picking out BM dresses, they were not in the appropriate sizes, so we couldn't really tell exactly how they looked. Now that they actually fit everyone we find out that they show a bit of booby. I told the girls they could get wraps if it makes them more comfortable.

I do feel bad for her especially if she does not feel confortable about the cleavage BUT she should have reacted to that more than 10 days before the wedding. Maybe she can put a sheet/lace/modesty insert? Maybe in a complementary or 'nude' color?

Telling you that 10 days before the wedding is not responsible whatsoever though.

VERY well said! I agree - maybe some kind of lace or sheer panel can be put in.

or wear a nude cami underneath

anyone with bigger then a B cup wouls be spilling out of the dress- the model has no boobs

but this could have been avioded if she tried on the dress earlier

Wow - 10 days before the wedding really isn't the time to start complaining about how the dress is too revealing. How does it look on the other girls? I would say let the complaining BM deal with it on her own, but if the other girls are feeling like it's a little revealing, maybe there's some kind of coordinating shawl that could be worn with it?

That's her problem. Don't stress yourself out about it. One of my BM's is not that chesty and she loved the dress (which she helped choose) but when she went for her fitting realized she looked kind of flat in it. She had to get C cups put in. We laughed about it though. She would never make me feel bad for the dress I choose, and the girls agreed with. She should have taken the time out to look at dresses with you. My dress is a Jim Hjelm and the neck line is very similar.

I agree. She should not have waited til the last minute. Now she'll just have to deal with it. Don't worry about it.

Re: I REALLY Need your ADVICE!!

There is still hope! I wore a similiar dress for my friend's wedding. They can take a piece of the fabric and run across the cleavage area to hide the cleavage. It was barely noticeable on the one girl who did it to her dress and we all blended in really well. They can even use some mesh to cover the V, that might make it less noticeable too.

anyone with boobs is probably not gonna fit correctly or comfortably in that dress, and if her chest size is larger than a B, she should not have agreed to wear it (brides choice or not), but thats not the issue.

She really should have taken care of this earlier especially since the dresses have been in for soo long. I would tell her to see if she can have some material sewn. Thats about all she can do now.

Is there time to get a wrap that may help her feel a little more comfortable. It really is her own fault for not speaking up in the beginning

Re: I REALLY Need your ADVICE!!

first, i'm so sorry that this is happening so close to your wedding. second of all, i hope she realizes this is her problem not your's. Not only did she not go with you all to pick out the dress, but she has waited waaay to close to your date. Like the other girls said, some sort of insert could work for her and I'm sure that wouldn't take much to do. Again, I am so sorry for this happening. Just tell her that it's her problem to deal with.
