There is still hope! I wore a similar dress for my friend's wedding. They can take a piece of the fabric and run across the cleavage area to hide the cleavage. It was barely noticeable on the one girl who did it to her dress and we all blended in really well. They can even use some mesh to cover the V, that might make it less noticeable too.
yes! that is her solution, but you should not feel bad about it. It was her fault for agreeing to something and then not holding up her end of the bargain.

Whoa! Now I just read your second post. That's her own fault then. She needs to be an adult and deal with it.
i agree. if she didn't bother to come with months ago, now is not the time to start whining.

I personally like the dress and would gladly wear it. If she didn't bother to go dress shopping with you then she is just gonna have to deal.

I do feel bad for her especially if she does not feel confortable about the cleavage BUT she should have reacted to that more than 10 days before the wedding. Maybe she can put a sheet/lace/modesty insert? Maybe in a complementary or 'nude' color?
Telling you that 10 days before the wedding is not responsible whatsoever though.
i second the lace! great idea

Dont stress! You have NOTHING to stress about. Getting alterations done is her job! I'm sure she will get it done before the wedding. Besides if its not done shell be the one who feels uncomfortable. You should not worry about this at all.

Re: I REALLY Need your ADVICE!!
IMO I would tell her or email her that it's really unfortunate that she feels this way about the dress. And that the other girls didn't complain about cleavage, and that you wish she had said something months ago so that you could have figured out a solution.
Let her know that unfortunately it is too late to start making changes and very stressful/upsetting for you with 10 days to go. Let her know that you are only now first learning of her concerns about her cleavage showing, and you are sorry she feels this way, but you really want everyone to be in the same dress. Or you can tell her that she can wear a shawl, or maybe you'll decide to tell her to make the alerations but to leave you out of it b/c you're too busy.
Then let her know that you totally understand if she doesn't want to be in the bridal party. This way you're giving her a out and probably making her feel a little guilty about complaining.

I have to agree. Don't let her make you feel bad, she had an opportunity to have brought this up months ago if she had gone with you or even picked the dress up earlier.
I would just tell her that she will look beautiful.
I agree, she could have put input a long time ago. I think it is a bit insulting her email.

You know, there is just no sense in making yourself more upset. You're right and she is inconsiderate and selfish.
I would just tell her that she should just ask for the insert in the V ...and call it a day. The last thing you want is for her to ruin your wedding day and the pictures with her miserable pout because she in uncomfortable in the dress.

She refused to chip in for your shower?
I'd give her the money back for the dress and ask her to step down. Wouldn't even want her to be part of my day.
ETA: I'm in a really bad mood today.

I feel the same way and I have spoken to my FH because I really would LOVE it if she would step down. But I didn’t want to make it an issue, but she has caused me nothing but stress, she has really hurt me through out my engagement.
ETA: she still owes me for half the dress, becasue when they came in I put the balance on my credit card. How do I ask for the money from her with out sounding b*thcy??

Are you going to look back in a few months or a year from now and regret that she's a BM? If so, ask her to step down. It sounds like she doesn't even care about being in your wedding.

You know I hate to say it but since I got serious with FH my relationship with her has taken a bad turn. See we use to go to clubs almost every weekend before when I was single. And I will still go out to the clubs but I just cannot do it every weekend, I don’t even want to. I have tried to make lunch date, dinner date but she doesn’t think that is hanging out like we use to. She still goes to the clubs every Thursday, Friday & Saturday, which is why her not attending my BP this weekend was even more hurtful, she does it every weekend except on my BP weekend.
Anyway to answer your question, I just wish she would step down instead of me asking her to, I don’t think I have the b*lls to do it. But I know that from this point on she will probably not be in my life, because if she had a problem with me when I was dating FH she is really not going to like my life once I am married with kids.

This girl is pretty screwed. By looking at the dress, I can tell you that my chest would never fit into that dress. Does she have a big chest?

I know how you feel. One of my BM, I fel I was very close with got a boyfriend last summer & I have only seen her about 5 times since then, two of those times were my shower & my bachelorette party. It is hard, I want her out cause I don't even takk to her anymore, she even left my BP early cause she was tired. I realize with a month to go there is nothing I can do about it.
Know that you are not alone, brides go through this all the time. I feel like I don't even want her in my pics.

she wasn't involved in the choosing of the dress, she doesn't have the right to complain! Bottom line, what do you write back??? I would say, You weren't there when we picked the dresses, there's nothing you can do about it now with 10 days left!!! The nerve of some people! GRRR XOXOXO Kitty
