If you are psycho, then I am too. I am the same way. My 'name' is Kathleen. I answer to Kathleen, Kat, Kathy, SuperKat, etc. When I sign a letter, I feel awkward ending it with 'Kathleen'. I also struggle with the exit greeting. Should I say 'talk to you later' 'best regards' 'love you' blah blah.
And what is so wrong with the name KATHLEEN huh?????
I go by Kathleen and some people call me Kath....I hate when people assume that I like Kathy...I just am not a Kathy...My uncle decided to call me Kate...which really annoys me to no end

I hate it when new people call me Pat. Or Patty. That is not how I shorten my full name.
I never use Patricia. Now that my last name is one syllable, I switched from Trish to Tricia. That was what my family always called me anyway.
I have an automatic signature on my emails that says Tricia, so there's no guess work.
You'll always be Greeny to me!!

Nothing wrong with Kathleen It just feels very formal with family. I also hate the name 'Kate'. I am not Kate. I will not answer to 'Kate'.
It also doesn't help that my BIL is dating a girl named 'Kathleen' right now. So my BIL and DH have the same first name and they are both involved with women named 'Kathleen'.

My name is Kathleen too, but only in the formal sense. I hate (I repeat, HATE) when people assume my nickname is Kathy or worse, Kath. I am Katie, and if you are close to me, I am probably Kate. Don't call me Kate if we are not close. Arg.
