we like the riviera (86pp), but i loved atlantica.

and the more practical thing to do is go with the riviera. i just wish for once i didn't have to be practical.

Don't be sad, The Rivera is very nice. It'll be beautiful no matter where it is as long as you two are happy.

My cousin had her wedding at the Riviera and it was BEAUTIFUL! Yours will be, too!

Trust me, this is only one day in your life together -- that extra $$ will be much more useful somewhere else!

I went through the same thing so I know how you feel.

I went to my friend's wedding at the Riviera and the food and service was great. Her pics came out beautiful. You have nothing to worry about there.

Family member got married at the riviera though and it was really great! Her pics were awesome!

I loved the riviera!! I went to a wedding there a few years ago... I It sounds like you disapointed that you have to go with the riviera...maybe if you look at a few more places you can find something that you love just as much as Atlantica. There are so many places on the water, CLM, Riverview, Snapper inn, Thatched cottage, Captain Bills. Those are ALL in your price range The riviera was at thet op of mylist though!!!! Its beautiful

i've only heard RAVES about the riviera!!! your day with come and it will be so beautiful and you will be SO happy (and you wont be out the extra$$$!!!!!) don't worry about a thing it's going to be the best day of your life!!!!

I'm sorry that you're disappointed Everything will turn out wonderful and I have never heard a bad thing about Riviera.

You are not alone. I am slowly but surely coming to terms with the fact that I will probably not get the location that I want because of cost. But it will definitely be worth it in the end.

I fell in LOVE with Atlantica when I first got engaged and bought the Receptions guide...but, when I heard about the price I didn't even go to look at it.

I booked with the Riviera, and although I don't LOVE it, I know it will be beautiful!


I met with my florist yesterday and he said he is trying to get the owner of the riviera to whitewash all the woodwork...I wish they would do that- and do it within the next 53 days It would brighten the place up so much!

Good Luck with your decision- I agree with the other girls, check out some more places and go with the one that fits you best- price wise and looks wise

wow, i went to look at atlantica as well, and i absolutely loved it..but it was out of my price range as well..but i dont remember it being THAT high thats just crazy..i think we were quoted about 150 including tax and grat for a friday nite in september or oct..this was for 2006 though..
could be wrong..but anyway we looked at the riviera as well and it was so nice, and i heard they redid the cocktail hour room BEAUTIFULLY!!
trust me looking back, i spent so much unnecessary money!
