I'm going with having the dress paid for.

A gift is nice, but, is there ever anything you will REALLY use, moreso than having your dress paid for!?!?

JMO!

thats a lot of money to pay for dresses so i say a gift at the end...unless the gift is big (price of dress)

i mean...i think that would be really nice to do that...but i kno for me i couldnt swing it.

that is how I feel, but i don't want any of them to think i'm cheap when they only get a token gift at the end, but their dress paid for about 9 months prior.

It will cost me about $130/girl... so I'm looking at $650.00 for dresses.

well, i have about 4 months until I really have to decide i guess.

I can't imagine any of them thinking you're cheap. That's A LOT of money to spend, and, if I could, I would do that for my girls!!!!

you know what, i have wondered about this too. I ALWAYS hear ppl saying how expensive it is for them to a BM and all these expenses. I know ppl who said they dont even want to do it again bc of the expenses. I wonder if taking away that financial burden would be better. Yeah a gift is nice but also depends on the gift, how useful will it be, would they be better off saving that money, well some of it at least bc theres other expenses.

Im trying to think what I would prefer, and part of me says the dress or hair and make up or all lol. Or get DOJ that i will wear that day and then after it will go in my jewelry box with everything else i hardly wear

definitely something to think about

I think that If i don't pay for the dress I am definitly getting them DOJ & either hair or makeup... I just wish i could make up my mind.

im iffy about DOJ. Because theres some ppl who dont really wear jewelry and will wear it just the day of and not get other use out of it...ALSO it may not be their style at all and never wear again-ive seen this happen quite a few times where girls are like uhmmm ok i never wear anything like this

speaking as a BM I would rather have my dress paid for BUT speaking as a bride it would be impossible and too expensive and like you I would still feel obligated to give them SOMETHING at the end.
