You girls are lucky lol! Last night I asked FH if he got a list from his mom and he told me I 'have to be more proactive and call her'. I think she should call me, am I wrong? Don't get me wrong she is a very nice person but I'm just confused, I look at 'wedding etiquette' and it's not matching up.

No i think you need to call and ask her about her list. Its the right thing to do. Ask if she has anyone important she would like to have at the wedding. Maybe she will feel like her opinion does count. Im just guessing. GOOD LUCK!

Im rather lucky me & FMIL are together alot & get along very well.

not specifically for the wedding, no. she's called about other things and asked or mentioned something here and there.

FH reached out to her about a guestlist but she did take me to a bridal show though - that was very sweet of her!

We talk everyday, we have a great relationship. she has no daughters.

She was initially all excited... but I've been asking her for their guest list for two weeks and now I haven't heard from her :(

But I'm not upset... she's been crazy busy at work and she's dealing with all these issues with FH's sister..... I don't blame her but the situation just ***** for me... their family has been blase about it recently because of his sister's situation... i'm not letting it get me down though.

I know once things improve they'll be excited and helpful. FMIL also already said she doesn't want to impose on my mom because I'm her only daughter- I said of course we don't mind help and ideas!

I'm having a difficult time with his family right now.
They're like not into it or something??
And my family... a huge Italian family... are all over the place they are sooo excited..

I know my FILs like me....I just feel bad for FH.

Not directly...all she does is keep adding to the guest list via FH.

But that's okay...I don't want her input, especially after they way FIL's reacted to our RH.

Does anybody get the 'why are you planning so early' aka you crazy person kind of a thing from FMIL? I think she thinks I'm kind of nuts that I want to get things booked sooner rather than later. Is anybody else getting that?
