I wish I could use the same list his sister used she had a destination wedding
sorry. but i am having a problem getting one from my parents if that makes you feel better. they have a list but no address and i need to send out STD's.

LOL me too mine are on the way in the mail i'll get them next week my mom has the list just have to call FMIL and get one. I think i'm going to make up a list and tell her to add or cross out people, i think that will be best! GL with your list!

Well, she doesn't call me, but we've been over for dinner and gone out to dinner and talked about the RD and guest list.

I have asked her who she wants to invite from their family and she only gave me 6 people.
don't want FH to feel as if the whole wedding is filled with my family, but I have a really big one and he doesn't

Oh I feel your pain!! FMIL didn't even react one way or another when we told her we were engaged..like honestly, she just brushed over the whole thing..
Then FH told her we booked the RH hall and all she said was 'oh thats good'
Then on Mothers Day we took her out and I saw really pretty flowers and I was like 'I'd like to have something like that for the centerpieces' and I kid you not, she didn't even say anything..
Now I know his mom loves me..and his father is obsessed with me and from day one said we should get married..so I really don't understand it!!
His parents aren't married though, and the only wedding FH has been to was his aunts 3rd marriage, so my mom things maybe they just don't know anything about weddings?!? So she doesn't really know what to say??

I e-mail FMIL every now and then but it's usually not wedding related. Haven't talked to her in a while. Haven't seen her since February. She's not really involved with the wedding anyway. Wasn't involved with her other two kids' weddings, so what makes FH's wedding different I guess.

I talk to FMIL almost every day so we immediately sat down and took care of all of that..... we are just doing immediate family because my RH does not hold over 120 people so it was easy because we really didn't have a choice but to keep it to family only...and of course our friends...I never got why parents wanted their friends there??

FH & I have talked about this prior to even getting engaged, she knows we're deciding the guest list and that we are not inviting every person she wants there.

She sent me a guestlist like a few weeks after we got engaged... and she lives in FL so whenever shes up here or we're down there, we'll discuss the wedding together
