I think that sometimes things on here get taken the wrong way.

Perhaps they were saying, 'it could always be worse' because that does make some people feel better about whatever problems they are going through. A lot of people just don't know how to word it in the correct way.

Esp. when girls who are paying for everything on their own hear someone else complaining when they are getting help from outside resources. But that is not and should not be your problem and you are very fortunate but A LOT of girls get very sensitive to things like that

I agree, i think maybe ppl meant it in a good way to cheer you up. I always tell DH, it could always be worse dont complain. I never say it to him to be snotty but to always show him that its not that bad and not to be upset or feel down. .

I also have to agree with the 2nd part. Not saying its right but i think with alot of girls on here who pay for their whole weddings and dont get any help but are fine with it, think that if you do get help, appreciate the help you do get and dont worry about who is not helping you bc nobody is obligated to. Just going by past threads and what ppl said and how it turned out. I will be very honest, and this isnt what you posted but i remember in the past seeing where somebody was having their whole RH paid for, then a couple of vendors too, dress and so on and only had about lets say 3 vendors to pay for and was complaining. I remember just thinking 'thats a small percentage of the wedding' 80-90% of the wedding is paid for by somebody else you cant complain, be happy. Especially at the time when i was going nuts to pay the RH, vendors, dress and all the little things. Again this wasnt about your post but just giving an example.

But dont let it get to you, thats not even that bad. And people on here vent all the time with small or big problems and you have the right to do so as everyone else does.

she said that people EMAILED her so that is why ppl are unable to read it. I guess she meant to say FM. I may be wrong.

As to the poster, don't let ppl get to you, this is a place where you find different peopl and everyone has a different way of thinking. I don't think it was nice of them to email you snotty remarks. I think it's best not to answer a post if you cannot say something productive.

thank you :o) it was FMs that i got. one said 'at least your not paying'...and the other said 'you should realize that other people have real problems, like having to call off their wedding because FH lost his job'... that's why i was aggravated, because i wasn't soliciting snotty FMs nor was i saying that i have the worst problems in the world. (sigh) i think from now on, i'll just stick to posting fluffy things that b*tchy girls can't complain about. anyway, thanks, ITA!

Wow, that is sad. I am sorry that people were so mean. I know there is a lot of stress involved with wedding planning and the economy right now.. but this is awful to FM to someone.

There wasnt anything wrong with your post, its unfortunate that ppl had to make it all about them through FM. I dont think you sounded ungrateful for having your parents pay, but ppl have to understand that even if you arent paying for a good portion of your own wedding, we are still in tough times right now where every day bills and expenses become tight. Being able to afford to pay for your own wedding is great and also an added financial stress, but that shouldnt take away from those who are having financial hardships and are not paying for their own wedding.

I especially love 'well you arent paying for anything so why are you so broke' um, i have bills and have been trying to save my money now more than ever for, i donno, maybe a house one day? so mind your business
