honestly, it depends where you went. if you went to a place where the per person charge was less than $20, i would have paid b/c they just put down $ for a dress

but if you decided to go to a place and some girls ordered $$$ entrees and others ordered like a salad...and then ppl ordered drinks...and the bill was alot, then everyone needs to pay their own way

you dont want to get taken advantage of either. so as long as the girls didnt go crazy in ordering food/drinks, i probably would have paid

but aside from that, i do think its RUUUUDE!! that FSIL said that.

honestly, I probably would've paid. I plan on taking everyone out to lunch after we buy bridesmaid dresses in Feb.

HOWEVER, it was beyond rude for someone to suggest that you pay. Seriously, what is GOING ON with people??

I would have paid but you were not obligated to pay. (we all went out after looking for my dress and I paid)

splitting evenly is always fair.

ETA - sorry i just re-read and saw it was MOH idea to go to eat... you had no obligation to pay.
