No one gets along with my FMIL... which is why she is not invited to the wedding... she made a scene at my shower and her own family told us not to invite her to the wedding

well your parents and his parents will rarely need to be in the same place together ... so just tell them both to sukc it up and deal and behave like adults.

One of my FSILs can be pretty opinionated, as can FMIL, but I just remain calm and remember that it's my wedding and I have final say. I listen to them, but ultimately everything is for me and FH to decide.

try not to take sides. if they say nonsense stuff, let it in on one ear and out on the other...

I have similar problems.... but this is all my family. my parents are divorced and my step mother always ruins everything with her nasty attitude. I am going to have a talk with her before hand and explain how I feel about her making nasty comments and looks every chance she gets at events and how its OUR day and if she starts, I am going to ask her to leave. I refuse to let her ruin this for me. I don't understand how people can't just act like adults and put their B S aside. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Omg girls...It su cks that u r all going thru all this too ,BUT, I do feel better! They all need to be adults! It just puts a damper on things =(

My FIL's are very very different from my parents with their morals and beliefs - which is hard for my parents to accept because they are very honest and genuine. My parents are very nice when they have to see them which is rare b/c they live OOT.

My FSIL is low class and trashy and has done many things during this wedding planning that have been deliberately hurtful to me

oh and my fiances parents are divorced and the mom and dad do not talk at all. the dad through us an e-party and didn't invite the mom so she's mad at everybody. i havent spoken to her in months and she barely talks to my fiance. drammmmmaaaaa
