I am a generous tipper and believe that if you really like the service then tip them appropriately.....ALWAYS 20% for me!

I usually give them between 10-15% of the bill.

She charges 60 to cut and I give 75.

I give $13-15 depending on if my hairdresser is the shampooer or not. For mothers day & christmas, I give $20 (I get my hair colored(bring my own color), cut and blown out for a really good price.)

I always totally over tip...I tip my colorist $20 for a whole head of highlights, $15 for a half head. $10 to hair cutter and $5 to the wash girl.

I tip $10 for a hair cut and $20 if she colors it too. Usually $5 to the girl that washes.

$5 girl who washes.

My stylist is great, she's also become a friend and she does lots of things for free or discounted.

20-30 % I give $20 on a cut, $50 on cut and color.
Plus, I give her $65 (cost of a cut) in addition as her holiday tip.

I am a believer in tipping well. And, it pays off in the long run-often people will reward you w/above and beyond service and even free stuff:), not to mention everyone walks away feeling good!
