how about the Snapper Inn in Oakdale, they have a beautiful pavillion right on the water...and its beautifully landscaped and the food is outstanding!!

they have a virtual tour on their website

What about Sagamore Hill? I don't know if they would allow a wedding, but it might be worth looking into.

Jenny what a cool idea! Sagamore hill is not only historic, but beautiful too! If I had thought of that I would have looked into it.....

I too am getting married at Captain Bill's in Bayshore next year. It is on the water, the food is delicious, they are very helpful, and I don't think it is very 'wedding hall'. I have to say I thought it was different when I booked, but the best part is they are resonably priced. $89.00 for a Saturday night.

You also might want to check Snapper Inn in Sayville or the Riverview in Oakdale.

Just remember that if you find a place that you like, but isn't as unique as you would like it to be, there are so many unique elements you can always add! Good Luck!
