At my church they are a half hour!

It really shouldn't take that long (if everyone shows up on time). Basically, the you guys and the MOH/BM will have to sign some stuff, make sure you have youe marriage license and pre-cana certificate, and then you are going to run through the processional, the layout of the ceremony and when you are supposed to do certain things, and then the recessional.

I would definitely know ahead of time who is walking down with who so you don't have to figure it out while you are there (that will save you some time). I wouldn't think it should last more than 30 mins.

ETA: our rehearsal at my church in the Bronx will start at 6:30 and we are planning to start dinner in Queens at 8:00

like a half hour that should be it.

It shouldn't take that long, but usually it's volunteers running the rehearsals, and some are better than others.

My sister's rehearsal for her ceremony (not full mass) lasted practically an hour. If you're asking so you can plan a dinner afterward, I'd definitely factor in an hour just in case of anything.

Ah ok this is what I'm worrying about. I went to one and the woman was super slow and had no idea what was going on.. Then the bride forgot the marriage license at home.. and I think the whole thing took a while

Yeah, certainly hope for the best, but I don't think you can rely enough to be in and out of there fast. Even my BFF had her rehearsal at the Fordham chapel recently and that took practically an hour as well now that I'm thinking about it.

I'd plan for an hour. People get pretty rowdy at those things! It should take 30 minutes or so, but lots of mingling and chatting.
