I'm Ina similar situation with my dad and his family as well.. Our families still have not met yet and it makes me nervous but I would try not to stress it all these people are going to YOUR engagement party to celebrate YOU and FH there your family and they love you I'm sure they can respect you for one night and be civil to each other! Just see how today goes if there are certain ppl that can not be in the same room ask them not to come.. I know it's easier said then done but it's your night and you shouldn't be stressing you should be having a great time!!

Im so sorry about your situation. Im hoping they all behave like adults and and realize its not about them its about you and your FH. I have a situation too. His family doesnt talk to me and not even sure if they will be at the wedding. My aunt and uncle are divorced and my uncle has a girlfriend and I have two sets of friends that dont talk to each other. My seating chart is going to be a nightmare lol
