So we are doing our wedding on a Sunday in June (we didn't do a Saturday night because we had to wait until after sunset for the ceremony (we're Jewish) and then it was starting at almost 9pm by the time the rabbi got to us which was just too late). Originally we figured we would do the 'twighlight' time, not quite afternoon (we def didnt want that) and not quite evening (so that people wouldn't feel like they had to leave) and we planned on a 4pm invite--party over at 10 or 10:30. Now I am worrying that it will still have that afternoon feeling (which I am not trying to say is bad, just isn't for us) and we should push it back later an hour or two...any thoughts???

I think the time you have now is actually perfect, and will still have an evening feel to it but still not end too late.

If you think thats what would make you feel better then do it. I went through the same thing, we had changed our wedding from a sunday night(it was memorial day weekend) to the weekend before on a saturday. That whole week it was bothering me and i wasn't 100% happy with that. After we changed it to a saturday evening i felt great, so i know what it is like to contemplate over things like this. Definitely talk to your FH and family

we had a twilight sunday wedding. the ceremony started at 4 and the party was over by 9:30. the majority of people stayed the entire time since it wasnt over very late. dont worry!

B/c of religious reasons, my wedding is also a sunday twilight starting at 4pm. Most of my friends have had twilight weddings on sundays for ther same reasons and I have never thought that it had an afternoon feel. Prob b/c everyone who had a twilight put black tie or black tie optional on the invite so everyone was dressed formally and the feeling was more sat night.

i wouldn't worry. i think you picked a perfect time of year and day. it will be beautiful, and you'll still get the sunset in. Don't stress over it.
