hand made ringlets on shorter hair looks so hott to me, zero rollers or curling iron, just made by hand held with pins and set, it takes time at the salon but has such a cool effect, Jennifer Lopez does that when she goes curly, might be the only thing I like that she does, lol!

well how short is your hair now? If you say its to your shoulders I am sure there are plenty of things you can do. Maybe post a pic and we can give suggestions

my supervisor at work had your length hair when she got married (maybe even a tad bit shorter) and she just wore it down and had the bottoms flipped out and it looked adorable. You don't need an extravagant updo to look like a beautiful bride. I can see if she has any pictures online when I see her tomorrow if you're interested
