Xpost Royalton Vs. Land's End??!! Vs. CLM!!!??????

Ok Girls, it's down to the wire...and I'm having a hard time committing to a RH...

I made an appt to meet with the Royalton tomorrow to haggle and set a date!!!

BUTTTTTTT

I'm having doubts now, it's like 'omg, im going to be locked in, what if i made the wrong choice??!!'

I absolutely loved the Royalton, saw it twice already- but it's alot more than what we planned on spending and originally we wanted something on the water...

so it brings me back to Land's End- also alot more than what we wanted to spend but I love it there also and FH was really set on this place when we first got engaged

the only reason why I don't like Land's End is that I'm worried about bad weather, I feel like if it rains then the whole ambiance of Land's End is ruined

I don't know what to do!!! is it normal to have fear of committing to an RH??

Thennnn I thought about just saying screw it and having it at CLM- it's alot more affordable, on the water & pretty- and it will save us alot of money! Royalton and Land's End are DOUBLE the price of CLM.

sorry for the long rant...Thoughts? Suggestions?

Should I just go with my gut and book the Royalton like planned?

Both are very nice RH but I would choose CLM only because I like the yacht entrance. lol

I loved the Royalton when I visited. That's where I had my heart set on; however, it was way out of my budget. Chateau La Mer has great food and the price is right. You should go with a beautiful place that you can afford.

I am kind of biased! lol
but I say go with your gut. BUT - if you think budget will be a problem... CLM is amazing (again.. biased lol)

As a future bride who is booked at CLM, I say go with your gut!

I'm not going to say book CLM just because I am booked there. lol If you love the Royalton & you and your FH agree on it, then I would do it. but also, don't break the bank or go into debt because of it. lol

I love CLM and not even because of the yacht arrival [since i'm not having it because its after november 1st] but just because of the amazing food, service and feel when you walk into the place. This is the place that my FH & I agreed on and after the tasting our parents loved it as well.

So I say go with your gut, but either way the 3 choices are all beautiful places and you can't go wrong! Good Luck!

thanks girls...

here's the thing...CAN we afford it?? yes

the real question is,.. do we WANT to pay that much?

if it was up to me...id have a destination wedding, save the money and call it a day...

but we ultimately decided on an LI wedding...soooo I say, just go with it and stop worrying about the money

bottom line is, LI weddings are expensive no matter which way you go about it! IMO

Did you look into Lombardi's on the sound, Giorgio's, or Windows on the Lake? We looked into all 5 places and these three were a little bit more affordable. Land's End is beautiful but we decided not to go with them for the same reasons as you. But we are still using their florist. Lovin' Oven. They have been wonderful! Good Luck!

My FSIL had their wedding at CLM and it was absolutely beautiful...Everything was perfect! But then again it is up to you and FH...Which ever place you walk in to and takes your breath away..is def the place.

I would book the less expensive place (CLM) because then you could have the luxury of spending money on other things. We really loved Jericho Terrace, but the price was almost $30pp more than CHCC. We went with CHCC b/c we really wanted a band and with the money we saved on the RH we were able to splurge for a live band.

Really depends on what you want though

I have never seen the Royalton but I did check out CLM and LE. We also wanted our wedding on the water. I actually went with LE because of the reason that it if rained, the ballroom is still beautiful inside with the open windows and the high ceilings...also their food and service is out of this world!! I knew it would be beautiful no matter what the weather was doing. Even though it is more costly than other halls it is worth it...check out some of the reviews of LE on here when you have a chance. You cannot go wrong with LE (not that I'm biased or anything lol)! Seriously though If you have any q's feel free to FM me!!

we saw about 15 places already...

the Royalton & Land's End were the only places FH reallllly liked

CLM was a maybe- we really liked it and were very close to booking but then felt we should look more before locking in...FH is hesitant bc its not one wedding at a time

and now of course after seeing the Royalton, it's hard to turn away

well i can see why you would maybe want to go to CLM and save....but if you arent in love with it I dont think its the best choice. I'd hate to see you settle on a place but also over spending is def not the way to go!

i don't know if we'd be 'settling'

if we didn't see the royalton, i don't think i would have felt like i was 'settling'
it was only after seeing the royalton, that i kind of feel this way

CLM is def beautiful and I'm pretty confident that we'd have a beautiful wedding there...the food at the tasting was delishhhh and i haven't really heard a bad thing about it

its like hmmm CLM & a beautiful home

orrr Royalton & maybe no home or a home alot later than planned?

ugghhh, it's just one day, y is this so difficult!

Having my wedding at CLM was the best decision I made about my wedding (other than choosing my DH, of course!). They really do such a great job. It is such a beautiful place, and the food is good.

However...you really need to go with your gut. Choose the place that gave you the WOW feeling.

Good luck!!!
