Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

That is so crazy!!! Why would she do something like that? I would definitely talk to her about her behavior and say that she better not act like that at your wedding. I would also ask one of her siblings to look after her and if she acts like that to put her in her place. You poor thing.

Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

Wow, I can't believe she would do something like that. I can't believe she left her boyfriend stranded there like that either. Does she do this stuff to him often? You might not have to worry about her having a fight with him at your wedding, he might not be in the picture after what she did!! So Sorry!! I would definitely talk to her and tell her if she tries to cause any drama at your wedding she will be asked to leave. Your paying a lot of money and it is an extremely special day for you, you do not want it ruined because she is acting up like a two year old!!!

As far as I know nothing that extreme has happened before but I dont live with them and honestly I try not to get involved in their buisness. We discussed talking to her about not letting that happen at my wedding beforehand but the way she is that will cause world war 3 and she will make an even bigger scene... I might ask my sister to say something to her.

The reason I am so worried about my wedding is when we first booked our hall I was so excited, so a few days later we offered to take her and her bf there to see it ( they had never been there before)
Well almost the same thing happened... before we even finished seeing the CH room they got into a huge fight and HE stormed out. Instead of staying with her daughter she ran after him.. and I was left looking like the worlds biggist moron in front of my BM. They didnt even come back in... stood outside in the cold arguing.... AND we had to drive them back home since we came in one car!! I still get angry just thinking about it!

Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

Wow... she does sound like a drama queen!! I'm so sorry you have to worry about this... I would be concerned too. Maybe you should consider sitting her down and having a serious discussion with her. Bring up her behavior at your cousin's wedding and explain to her that it would make you very unhappy on your wedding day if she did something like this. She may not realize that her behavior is this bad... she might need to be called out on it.

Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

if this were my mom, i would tell her frankly that if she even thinks about creating drama at my wedding, she will be removed from the premises and our relationship will be over. or better yet i might tell her that if she can't control her behavior, she should not attend the wedding to begin with.

i imagine saying such things is hard - she is your mother after all... but it is YOUR day and you deserve nothing but happiness for it!! jmo.

Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

I think she is related to my mom-
I am so sorry.
You need to keep in mind that your day is your day and maybe set some ground rules for your mom.

Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

Just remember we cant chose who are parents are ....your mother sounds a little immature when it comes to her relationship with her boyfriend IMO If I were you I would just tell her that your wedding is very important to you and ask her not to make a scene(in a nice way)

what about talking to her bf about this>????

Re: My mother the drama queen - another vent

Is it possible to assign a trusted Uncle or fried to 'babysit' her or them and if something like this happens, it will be the persons job to escort her out of there??

I am sorry you are going through this, unfortunately you cannot be held responsible or control the actions of others, it is not a reflection upon you.
