Yasmin?

i have been doing some reseach after reading the article i post about and i'm thinking of swtiching to yasmin. anyone on it? what are the pluses and minuses?

I think as long as u take it the same time everyday ull be ok...bc it's a lighter pill, if u take it at 9am one day and 9pm the next, ure leaving a 12hr period with minimal coverage...if ure ovulating...then its possible to get preggo!! I've been on it for a while, I wouldn't worry!

EXACTLY... this may have been what I happened to me. I never ever missed a pill but I never knew to take it at the same time every day and someone got past the goalie.

I was on yasmin for 5 years.....i loved it, no side effects.

You may also want to consider Yaz which is Yasmine's little sister.... the hormones are consistant all month (no changing in levels thru-out the month like ortho), short periods (4 days), and a lower dose. I would talk to you dr. I had to go into talk to my dr. about my BCP b/c I was on Ortho Lo and it was KILLING my sex drive.... she switched me to Yaz and I'm happy to say, I'm going ahead full speed

I HATE Yazmin and just switched to yaz. I think that maybe I am the odd person out but I had major mood swings, major pms including water retention, swelling, headaches- you name it. Plus my periods were sort of light but lasted 5-7 days. And I had trouble loosing weight while on it. Normally where I would lose 12 pounds off it I only lost 6 pounds on it. I'm done with Yazmin. And I also got pregnant while on it over the summer. Mine didn't keep though but that had nothing to do with the pill. Good luck whatever you choose.

I've been on it for 4+ years & love it. I switched to yasmin to help with pms bloating symptoms, and found that it helped. everyone's different so you have to try it for yourself, also takes a few months for your body to adjust to being on the pill.
