Ok ladies first I want to thank Ali (coldasice217) for making my BOTW!!!! I'm so excited adn I hope to wear the crown just as well as you did.
Ok here is my first question..................Does anyone feel like they are taking other peoples opinions too much into consideration and now you are starting to doubt decisions you have made in your planning?

YES!!!!!! Sometimes I wonder whose wedding is it at this point.. FH and I had a long talk about our plans last night though and I think we are on the same page. I have finally reached the point where the only opinions that matter are mine and FHs and I plan on ignoring anyone who tells us something different!

not really. FH and i did a lot of talking about what we wanted before we even got engaged. so it was just a matter of making it happen. everyone is very supportive!

Nope.... I had it in my head from the beginning that this is OUR wedding and WE make the decisions.... everyone else can just deal with it. I never want to look back and regret doing this or booking that bc someone made me do it.

Good question!
Not really. I actually get a little annoyed when people try to give me opinions on things that I haven't asked for. I'm pretty set on what I want (which is NOT a frou-frou wedding) and when people try to convince me to do things in a more elaborate fashion, I'm not very open to their ideas. For example, my mom is not the typical mom and she would not feel comfortable wearing one of the MOB gowns that many do, and I am TOTALLY fine with this even though she is walking me down the aisle. In fact, I'd feel odd looking at my mom in a dressy gown. When people have commented to me that she SHOULD be wearing a fancy gown, that irritated me. This is MY wedding and MY mom and so long as she is in a nice skirt and blouse, I'll be happy! I don't see why I should conform to what others think is PROPER - we are not traditional people as it is.

I totally do on certain things. Lately I've been having mixed feelings about so many things that I think I'm caring too much about what other ppl think. I'll give one thing as an example. My parents split up about 5 years ago. I don't keep in contact with my dad we didn't have the best relationship. My grandfather passed away last September and when i saw my dad there it was so weird and uncomfortable but at the same time we got along great. Since then we really haven't been in touch but I am inviting him to the wedding. I'm not going to stress it and say he has to be there but here's where my caring too much comes into play. I dont' know if i should ask him to walk me down the aisle and hope he shows up that day or plan otherwise. I'm afraid if he shows up and doesn't walk me down the aisle or do a father-daughter dance that everyone will think I'm f*ed up. At the same time he's never been there for me so I don't see why he should get that honor of walking me down the aisle. I've been losing sleep over this for months. I'm such a wuss with this topic and am letting what other ppl think take over what I should really be doing. OYE!!!
