Last night, I was watching, 'Glamour's 20 wedding do's and don'ts,' and there was one about GM attire. They said to let the GM choose what they want to wear. I.E. give them a maker, or a color, and then let them decide. (They also suggested that the GM should purchase their attire, which is unnecessary, IMO.)
FH likes this idea, and, I'm pretty sure I don't. All of my girls will be in the same black dress, and, I'm not sure exactly what I want the GM to wear jacketwise, but, I definitely want black ties, white shirts, and, if I go with a vest, black.
Half of the GM are in Baltimore, so, I am afraid that if I let them choose whatever they want, it will look bad.
Am I crazy? How do you girls feel about this?

I agree! Especially since the girls will be the same.....
What if one of FH's cousins shows up looking ridiculous! How will I know if he rented in Baltimore, and I never see it!!!

I agree 100% with you!
I am wayyyyy to anal to let them choose their own.. I would worry all the way up to the wedding that they were going to look nuts!

I would definitely have something specific (or at least choose from these ones) for them. And definitely don't obligate them to buy! It's expensive enough to rent for one day and will they really ever where it again?

Yeah, definitely.
FH's brothr (BM) actually owns two tuxes, but, he used to work for a tux shop. I told him I will try and match his the best I can, to save him the rental costs!

im against that as well.. i think they should all match - i would def not leave it up to each individual person to pick.. imagine what they would get?

I saw that too - I don't agree with it though. I'd prefer if FH and the GMs went to the tux place together and picked out the same tux, tie, etc. All of the BMs are going to match, so I think it would look stupid if the GMs didn't. JMO
