Yaz BC Pill...

Is anyone on Yaz?

If so, have you EVER experienced weight gain while on this pill or an increase in water weight??

Just curious because I recently switched and my Dr. assured me I would be fine with not gaining any weight from it- but I'm nervous so rather than worry myself I figured I would ask to put my mind at ease.

I'm just so worried because on the first pill I ever went on (I was 18) and it was OTC... I immediately gained like 10 pounds- it was CRAZY! So, I'm paranoid.

I'm on it and I haven't seen any weight gain, just BOOB gain which i guess isn't all that bad

Actually just went back to Yasmine, but was on Yaz for months. And yes - boob increase was definitely there! A little aggravating for me (went to a D) but what are ya gonna do about it??

I would freaking HUMP MY DOCTOR if she made my boobs grow-- are you kidding me?! That would be like a MIRACLE or like the best GIFT EVER!!!!!

So far, I've been on it two weeks and no weight gain- when will I be 'out of the clear' do you think?? I think I'm going to be OK the only reason I'm scared is b/c I had a bad reaction to one birth control years ago but since then- while on Yasmin and now, I'm OK so far.

Just paranoid!

i recenlty just switched to yaz and i love it!! no weight gain and i am watching my weight and have been so no changes. the only thing is i got my period 4 days late since theres 4 more active pills in the is pack than in my old one. but the good thing is my period came on sunday morning and was gone by tuesday morning.

ETA: sorry to be a downer, but no boob gain here unfortunately.

is the flow heavier on your period now that it doesn't last as long??

nope its the same flow but only for 2 days instead of 4.

OMG I need to get me some of that! I'm on Yasmin and love it...I'm too attached to it to switch but...an upgrade in boobs might be worth it!

I dunno though, anytime they mention side effects of the pill, I never get 'em so...

I'm not even kidding about the boob gain. My boobs have been so freaking SORE the last 2 months since I've been on it. FH thinks its great
besides that no weight gain otherwise and my period is a lot lighter and shorter. It lasted 3 days the last month.
The only bad side effect I've had so far is spotting which is really annoying. Good luck!

I actually posted on LIF...I hate this pill. And sorry to be a downer but 'BOOB' gain sounds good but it really isn't. Just think that a chemical is making your boobs grow. It's really not healthy, I read a whole article about it when I had problems with this pill.

im on it! i like it, virtually no cramps, light flow..
as far as weight gain, i know i gained a few pounds but i dont' think it was from the pill. i've been eating like a pig, so its my fault..

my boobs def look fuller though

I suffered a mini stroke 3 years ago, which they believe MAY have, as my 10th doctor put it, be realted to the BC that I was taking at that time. have not touched it since.

I was on Yaz for a little while and hated it!!! I switced from yasmin to yaz and the yaz actually made my period longer!! i stayed on it for 5 months and then switched back to yasmin

i will give one bit of warning, it may just be my reaction, but I have been on Yaz since January, but I have been having my flow for almost a month. It may be a hormone imbalance, but it is something my doctor said could happen if you are ever late on even one pill in the beginning of the cycle
