....FMIL bought me lingerie. Is that weird???

My friend got lingerie from her MIL at her shower too. But her MIL is really quirky so I wasn't surprised.

my fmil bought me lingerie also. she had one of my bm's read me a silly poem about lingerie for every day of the week..

personally, i thought it was silly--
also, my mom bought me lingerie.. thankfully, that came out first. and to be perfectly honest, the lingerie my mom bought me is all i wanted.

No I don't think that is weird. I have seen that done before. I went to a shower for FH's best friend's wife (FW at the time) and her MIL bought her lingerie. She loved it. I think it all depends on your relationship with your FMIL.

Lol...no! Thats cool. My FMIL got me some for mine too! She is very 'out there' when it comes to stuff like that. She once bought me and my FSIL (fh's brothers fiance) thongs for christmas and gave it to us in front of everyone while opening gifts! LMAO. Crazy woman! lol

I heard once that it was a tradition for the FMIL to give some sort of lingerie to her son's bride.

i happen to think it is wierd. but i am touchy on this subject. i thought it was very wierd that my mom bought me lingerie. i went and returned it. i didnt want to wear something on my wedding nite that my mom bought me. that whole idea freaked me out, but that is MO.

ok, thanks. Yeah, the lingerie is the only thing FMIL got me...not that I'm complaining. It's really beautiful. But she got all strange...she was upset that someone else bought me lingerie because 'she wanted to be different.'

My FH's grandmother gave me lingerie for our engagement gift...It's apparently a tradition or something. All I know was I was totally freaked out by it...

I've heard that traditionally, the mother of the bride is supposed to buy the bride her wedding-night lingerie. I think it's also traditional for family members to buy the bride lingerie (even though it's a little creepy).
