I highly recommend going to the Klienfelds sample sale ... it was nuts - sooooooooooo many bride-to-be's (about 150-200??) but I got lucky with a really awesome sales lady ... she really hooked me up and brought more dresses than allowed.
It was too hectic though -- my bridesmaids and I forgot to take a picture!!!!
Still worth the craziness!!!
I already have my dress, i did get it at kleinfelds but i want to know if they have alot of veils at the sample sales? the one veil i liked at kleinfelds is $1200 so thats why im curious lol

Kleinfelds has a very good seamstress whos name is Josephine. She did Nina's alterations and she is my other DIL's mothers cousin so we know her. She does very, very good work and you won't have to go crazy looking for an outside seamstress and have to take your gown out. You will be able to have everything done there and bring your gown home all altered, steamed and ready to be worn. Good luck. Your gown is very beautiful too.
the reason she is looking for an outside seamstress is bc if you buy your dress at kleinfelds during a sample sale they dont offer their alterations with it, usually when you buy it from there its $525 cap...if you dont have a cap on alterations they can sometimes get real expensive. So if she got it at kleinfelds then it would be without a cap...plus she already has her gown out, at a sample sale you take it home that day

I didn't realize she went to a sample sale until after I posted. Wow that is a beautiful gown to get at a sample sale. Good deal!!!! It pays to wait on line sometimes.

there were so many girls there that went just for the accessories -- there was one who found a really nice veil for 75% off! Definitely check out their next sale -- are you looking for one that has a lot of beads and embroidery? my friend designs these and works for a bridal shop in the fashion district -- i can ask her if you want - FM me.
well when i went to kleinfelds to try on dresses i tried veils on there to give me the full effect...this one veil i tried was GORGEOUS and it went perfect with the dress i ended up buying...she did put on my receipt that when i go back for a veil i get a discount on it but getting it for 75% off would be even better lol, i am gonna go to the next sample sale and see if that particular veil is on sale, if not ill fm you to find out about your friend

Dont be, I got my dress at a sample sale and I'm taking it back for cleaning and alterations (which is kind of annoying) but its worth it. I heard most of the women who do alterations at Kleinfelds also do work out of their home. I'll look for contact info for you.

it wasn't THAT long ago but definitely a few short months. I know i should've gone too but i ended up making plans with Fh after work and forgot lol
