YOU ALL ARE GONNA KILL ME HOW ABOUT NIAGARA FALLS Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
Hey ladies I am trying to plan a trip for my husband's birthday. Its March 2nd. A friend of mine just suggested the poconos but she has not actually been there. I have a few questions?
Is the place worth the money? I am getting quotes about $300 a night. Or should I take the money and do something more worth it.
Also which resort did some of you ladies stay. I see they have four. I see one is more for family but I don't much see the difference between the other three.
Thanks so much ladies
Edit to add I got a package for $848 at Niagara Falls staying at the Sheraton on the water with a rental car?
I am wondering is it too cold up there right now?

Re: Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
I have never been there but FI's mom lives in the Pocono's.
The pocono's are gorgous in the winter. They get a lot of snow which is great if you ski. Her house is really nice and the area is very relaxed.
I would look for other places just to get price comparisons and what each offer.
No matter where you stay in the pocono's its always a beautiful stay

Re: Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
We have been three times and love the place. We have only stayed in Cove Haven and we hear its the best of all four resorts. I have a coupon if you like its for an additional 10% off. Breakfast and dinner is included and during lunch hours there are activities sometimes that has a small eating area. Most rooms have a fridge which helps if you want to bring stuff to snack on and drinks. It is worth the money if you do alot of activities. During the winter you can go sledding, snow mobiling, tubing and all the inside sports.

Re: Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
We went to Cove Haven last year and loved it!!! We had the room with the private swimming pool and sauna (can't remember the room name). It was great!!! I remember FI saying it was about $300 a night - but it does include meals and activities!

Me and Hubby went to Paradise Stream and stayed in the Champagne Towers room and we thought it was great for the money.

Re: Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
We got engaged at the Poconos!! In the huge suite with the champagne glass tub!! It's actually really nice there. It's nice because the price includes breakfast in bed and a nice dinner. But lunch is expensive! Plus all the activities are lots of fun. You can fish, take a little boat out, go on nature walks, etc. I can't remember where we stayed - it wasn't Brookdale or Cove Haven - we went to the other two.
I have mixed feelings on whether it's better to spend your money somewhere else. It is beautiful up there - any time of the year. But we also went to Lenox, MA this weekend to a pretty little bed and breakfast and it pretty much worked out to the same price (without the activities). I'm more into exploring other towns and all that, rather than going to the Poconos where you eat at the same restaurant and stay on the grounds pretty much.... Lenox is beautiful by the way. Only 2 1/2 hours from NYC. Pretty little towns, nice restaurants.... I guess what I'm saying (this is a bit long isnt' it ;-) is you can't go wrong with the Poconos, it'll be pretty and lots of fun, but there are tons of little towns to explore too. It depends on what you like... Good luck and have fun!!!!!!!

It does look fun but I am indecisive on if its worth the money. I can probably find a deal to florida or something for the same price.
Its convenient b/c we could just drive though.

Hey Neva... I went to Cove Haven twice already. We LOVE it. We save money by going during the week as oppossed to the weekend. It's worth the money. The first time, we stayed in the Juliette, more like a studio, but it was aaaaahhh so perfect. The 2nd time we stayed at the Garden of Eden Apple, so beautiful, we had our own pool too, it was awesome. We actually liked that one better than Champagne Towers. BUt Champagne Towers is so cool, we want to do that next. And it has 2 levels. It is definitley worth the money, especially if you do the activities and EAT, yoiu can eat as much as you want. On the weekends, they have shows of all sorts too. If you have any questions, just ask, and if you want me to email you some pics, ask away.

Re: Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
I surprised my hubby (then boyfriend) last January with a trip to Paradise Stream and then he surprised me with the engagement ring!
It is expensive, so I planned it just for a 2 night stay. We had a Garden of Eden Plum room (the hot tub and pool). We went ski mobiling and horseback riding. It was a lot of fun and everything (well, not the alcohol) is included. They even had a good band and fun entertainment. My DH really liked it.
I don't know if I'd go back again because of the cost, but it is definitely worth checking out once. Where else can you get a pool in your room or a champagne shaped jacuzzi? And don't forget the pink champagne!
I'd like to go to the Hershey Hotel before going back to Ceasears, but that's really expensive, too (but the chocolate spa is a draw for me!)

Re: Anybody been to Ceasars Pocono Resorts
HI- actually went there for my birthday last year. It was March 4th. And I hate to be pessimistic. But it was not worth all that money and I am not a cheap person either. YOu can go away to the Bahamas or Florida for the weekend instead for the same amount of money.
