This is an email I just got from my FH's Aunt:

'Hi - your invite came today, shredded!!!!!!the post
office shredded the invite and the parts/pieces are in an envelope. please bring me one to the shower tomorrow so I have the wedding information. Thanks Love Deb!'

OMG!!!! I'm so sorry!!!!

I would get the invite from you aunt and bring it to the post office to show them. It can't compensate for what they did, but maybe they'll refund your money you spent on stamps.

I agree, take it to the PO and show them what happened! That really S U C K S!!!

This happened to me with a Christmas card. Don't worry. It was only one of them. They sent the pieces in a ziploc bag and my FSIL only figured out it was from me because she saw how I signed FH's name on one piece.

Had my shower today and she brought it with her. Yup, she was right,......it was shredded up all right. AND after the shower, my FMIL came up to me to tell me that 3 other guests told her the same thing happened to them. Now I'm worried about the guests who may never have received them becuase they got too damaged. Lesson learned..........We contacted the post office and they said they won't refund the postage unless it was insured.........who insures regular mail? BLAH!

My FMIL and Aunt are going to call ALL of the guests that haven't replied a week before the due date to see if they received thier invite and explain to them what happened. That makes me happy they are willing to do that

So just use me as an example girls..........hand cancel those invites if you didn't send them out....cause it ***** when you spend ALL of that time and money trying to make pretty invites and they arrive shredded and no one gets to see them.....just kind of a bummer........
