You know that STD I sent you, throw it out! VENT

Ok so we sent out our STDs already. We've had the same list since we got engaged and since we are only inviting family and close friends we figured we'll send them out since we have a few OOT guests. Well FH and I have these 2 friends (we'll call them Jeff and Kathy) that actually met at a party I was throwing for FH's birthday and they ended up hitting it off and flash forward a year they're getting married and we're invited to the wedding. So we sent them a STD for ours. Well FH's friend Mike had been talking about how since the wedding is coming up he needs extra cash and he's been worried about losing his job and his fiance is a teacher in danger of losing hers so he asked FH if they were hiring where FH works. FH found out that they were hiring part time for nights and weekends so he told his friend Jeff. FH asked him several times if he really wants this job because he gets hired and then says he doesn't want it that will look bad on FH who's trying to get full time there and FH will lose his employee recommendation (which he's trying to help my friend get a job there)Jeff said he really needs the job. FH put in a good word, Jeff went for an interview and he was hired. Then Jeff took a couple of weeks to fill out all the paperwork (w2 and all that stuff) Then they gave Jeff a start date which Jeff calls back a day before his start date to tell them he needs to push it back a week because the place he's working at right now needs him to do nights for a week. They say fine and tell him he needs to start the Saturday before Memorial Day since it's a mandatory day for all employees. Then Jeff calls them back and tells them that he can't start that day because now they're going to be doing a tasting at their venue. The place calls Jeff to try to work out a day he can start. Jeff doesn't return the calls. Finally Jeff calls and says he's not going to work there.FH explains that he starts working there and doesn't like it he can quit and there will be no repercussions to FH or my friend who is trying to get a job. Jeff goes, oh well that sux.

So now my friends application has been tossed out and they are mad at FH for what his friend did since now it's too late to hire someone else and have the board approve the person.

So I don't care if it's tacky or not but they are off the invite list. You don't mess with where someone works. Especially someone who has been busting their butt to get full time. Thank you for those that actually read this whole vent. Now I ask you, Am I wrong for not inviting them even though we sent them a STD?
