Do you mean during the ceremony? I think I'll change it right after we exchange rings and say vows.

Yeah, I never understood this either?
I always thought you jsut put the weddign ring on after engament ring, but no I hear you are supposed to move the enggemtn ring to the right hand so the wedding ring is on first, then I guess you switchit in the Limo? or when you bustle?

Mine doesn't fit on my right hand either.
I left my e-ring on my left hand for the ceremony, and when it was time to say vows and exchange rings, I put my e-ring on my left pinky finger. My DH put the e-ring back on my ring finger after he put my wedding band on.

Searsc: I have heard that. I just don't love the way it looks that way and truthfully it doesn't matter how you wear your rings, what is in your heart what counts. The day of I'll probably wear wedding band first and do what you suggested during the ceremoney. After that who knows. Plus I feel like having the band aftewards protects my e ring. I don't like it being further down my finger.

I am not thrilled with it either(but I haven't bought our bands yet)... I may just wear the band on the other hand... No clue.

Searsc: I think we should do what we want. When I try it on w/band and then e ring to me it looks funny, I love it the other way. I got 2 bands. With the plain band, I like how it looks w/the wedding band first. W/my diamond band, I don't like it.

I wore my engagement ring on my left hand during the ceremony. When the priest was ready to bless the rings, he asked me for my engagement ring and blessed them all. Your wedding ring is traditionally supposed to go back on first...closest to your heart. Then I just put back on my engagement ring.

My e-ring was too big for me left hand, and I was always affraid I was going to lose it. So I got those little balls but in, to make it smaller. Now it fits perfect on my left hand. But it doesn't fit my right hand at all now! I think I am either going to leave it on my left hand, or take it off and put it in the box with my wedding band, and have FH put them both on me at the same time. (

Traditionaly, the wedding band does goes closer to your heart. My friend wears the band on the outside on the advice of her father on law because 'put that valuable diamond on the inside- if something falls off, you don't lose the rock!'

Thanks Ladies for all your thoughts. I am wearing e ring, then wedding band. I think doing what we are comfortable with is the best idea.

I agree...my e ring is high and my wedding band is so beautiful...I think I am going to waer the ering first then my band...its more confortable and i think it looks better...either that or I have to wear it on seperate hands.
