Re: YOUR BRIDAL SHOWER
I'm going to make a list with different 'tiers' of ppl, who they can eliminate as a group, depending on their budget. Like, they could just cut my whole 'coworkers' group if it was too much for them, etc.

Re: YOUR BRIDAL SHOWER
I think it depends on your individual situation. I am a teacher and have been working w/ some people for 5 years. They are some of my closest friends so even thought they are co-workers I couldn't imagine them not being there.

That is what I did too! AND i separated it into categories
FH's family My family my friends FH's friends Our friends CoWorkers
THEN if they were a 'maybe' i italicized the name
AND THEN next to each name I wrote the explanation like
Mary - FH's mom's cousin Sue - coworker Sandra- family friend
etc.
for the kids i also included ages in case they wanted to cut it off at a certain age - GOOD LUCK!
Also on the list include phone numbers for each GROUP like I put a phone number for someone who knew all my friends, for a coworker, for a few people on FH's side, FH's number etc.

Re: YOUR BRIDAL SHOWER
What a great F'n thread!! I was asked to work on this type of list recently... glad that you brought it up
you invite those that are invited to your wedding. i was once invited tio a shower and found out through word of mouth that i wasnt invited to the wedding just the shower. so basicly i didnt go cause i thought that was rude to get an invite to the shower and not the wedding . i looked at it like they just wanted a gift from me

I just experienced the very same thing. We decided that it would be best to invite only close family and friends and save all aquanitences and coworkers, etc. to invite to the wedding...it helped and then no one will feel excluded either...hope it works out for you...it really is confusing

Re: YOUR BRIDAL SHOWER
Also, I should add that I have heard that etiquette says you can invite people to the wedding and not the shower...but not vice versa...

LMAO - TRUST me i know the feeling that is why I went crazy with the list my cousin got married in 2005 so we booked the place and everything and then asked her FMIL fo a list
WELL turns out that her FMIL's list had like 100 people on it! SO we had to cancel the hall, change the date, send out OOPS we changed hte date cards to the people we already sent invites to and start all over!!
so i am trying to make this as painless as possible!
