The study published by the University of St. Andrews and Edinburgh University in Scotland found that women have lost 90 percent of their eggs by the time they are 30 years old, and only have about 3 percent remaining by the time they are 40.

i read that study too...it scared me a bit but then i was like, I rather have a baby at 30+ then be 16 without a job and a kid!

I have a friend who is older than me (late 30s) she is pregnant now and her first baby turned 1 last month. She acknowledges that she is considered old by some but she traveled and was all about a good time in her 20s babies weren't even a consideration. You have to do what is right for you. it makes sense that as you get older you lose eggs bc your getting closer to menopause but who needs 3 million or even 100,000 you only need 1 (or maybe 2,3,4 etc. depending on how many kids you want hahahah)

I wouldn't worry so much!!! I have no intentions of a honeymoon baby. I'm over 30. I really don't see us having kids until I am at least 36. I want to be married two years and enjoy time with just us.

I'm with you, I worry about this stuff too even though I know that rationally, many 30 and 40 year olds have healthy babies these days.
I still want to be a young mom so we're not waiting too long after we get married! I may be pregnant when I'm 27 *knock on wood* (I'm 26 now)

What! that doesn't make sense! I thought a woman only releases 1 egg every month, and the study is saying by 30 a woman has lost 90%?? that meand she will prob start her menopause before 35???? that's crazy!
