i always hated my last name as a kid...and yes i got made fun of and even now people make fun of it, lol! although...it used to bother me, it dosnt anymore. i like his last name so i am happy to change it, but it will be weird to me having an italian sounding last name. not that i dont like it....just different. my family has no italian whatsoever so it will be a change. it is also weird thinking that i will be a Mrs. (his last name)...b/c that just makes me think of his mom! lol!!

My last name is really cool and original. My brothers and I have always been called by our last name by all of our friends because its cool!
FH's last name is so cookie-cutter. Its normal and boring.

yeah people always call me my last name....(well, by part of my last name, hehe)....again, i used to hate it but i dont mind it anymore...i kinda like it now, lol. but i have a people people will still call me that for a while after i get married. it will be weird once that dies down.

i like the way my last name now sounds with my first name...i mean my first name is really catherine but i go by catie and my last name now sounds good with catherine or catie but FH's last name sounds only good with catie...so when i sign documents it will look and sounds weird

but i am soo excited to take on FH's last name I like his last name!!

FH's last name sounds weird to me (its only 5 letters).. and its going to throw off the 'even' name i already have.

I tell him I will take his last name, but I am going to add a letter at the end

Im not going to change my last name right away. My best friend waited close to 6 mons before she changed it, because she wasnt ready. Ive been known as Lindsay F________ my whole life. Its who I am.

So if youre not too enthused with your new last name, you can wait until your ready to change it. Im going to.

I love my last name but its Italian and my first name is Irish. The fh's last name is Irish so it kinda goes together better.

After I change my last name FMIL & I will have the same name!!!

They already refer to us as big Anna and little Anna.

I've always loved my last name and in HS everyone called me by it. So the transition will be harder on my friends than on me I love my new one tho!!! It's soooo Irish!

i love my name but really excited about taking FH's.

I joke that I will be losing my Italian last name. FH's is Norweign. FH's name is spelt similar and sounds exactly like a jewish last name. So in reality no one would think his is norweign haha.

Its so funny Ive mentioned it before....
FH's mom is Italian her name is Gail (jewish)
FH's dad is Scandinavian his name is Howard (jewish)

Plus his last name sounds Jewish... but they are catholic.

I am pretty glad to be changing my last name lol. Its annoying that people cant pronounce it correctly and plus people always look at me and ask 'how the hell do you have an italian last name?' lol i am a 'mutt' I have blonde hair blue eyes very fair skin anything and have an italian last name lol i guess it is pretty funny! but FH last name is easy to pronounce and remember !

im not crazy about fh's last name (in fact id rather have my last name, i don't like the sound of his), but im excited to take it to start our family and give me that more married feeel

I love my last name...it translates to king/emperor in english...his means nothing! But we are compromising...I'm keeping my name professionally, but taking his name socially.
