Re: Your opinion on these wraps.
Its hard to tell. They may look flimsy in person. I saw somw likw that at tri county but Fh thought they looked cheesy (like he's a fashion plate.. .)
I think am going with pashmina-type ones from Macy's in light greay for my cranberry dresses. They are soft, so I thought that would contrast the satin oo much, but my mom said they won't wear them in the church or pictures, just to & from & outside at the Ch, so I think it will look nice & cozy.

Re: Your opinion on these wraps.
They look pretty in the pic, but, like tourist said, it can be hard to tell from a picture. You're probably better off buying them in person so you can see 1) how substantial they are and 2) how soft they are.
Ivory and pink will look very pretty together. Especially if your girls have ivory/white flowers in their bouquets!
Do you think it will be cold for our big days? I have been wondering that myself - maybe I should get something for my girls too, just in case.... (another thing to add to the to-do list! ARGH!)

I am goign with pasmina-type ones from macy's in light greay for my cranberry dresses. They are soft, so I thought that would contrast the satint oo much, but my mom said they won't wear them in the churhc or pictures, just to & from & outside at the Ch, so I think it will look nice & cozy.
I was thinking about those but I don't know how the fabrics will be together
JVS - I don't know if it will be cold, but my girls are wearing strapless tea length dresses so I don't know

They are pretty, but they don't look very warm - it's hard to tell from a pic.
If you are interested there's a great site that I got my girl's wraps from - I have them already and they are very sturdy but very soft. I got the girls black and me an ivory one and it's beautiful.
Just type in pashmina in the search criteria and you'll find them.

are your dresses satin?
Mine are matte satin. I like the way it looks. It doesn't look like part of the outfit, but more like outerware, but stylish outerware.
And since my CH is outside, I think it will look more normal, instead of them walking around sleeveless in October, or wearing whatever regular jacket they have with them!

Re: Your opinion on these wraps.
I think they are very pretty, and just warm enough for the end of September. But I'm really just guessing.

Re: Your opinion on these wraps.
This is the dress: It has a sheer overlay. That is why I don't think those cashmere ones will match.

Hmmm...do you think it will be cold in September? I'm not sure what I think. I know, I'm so much help!

That thread seems to have a metallic sheen to it so I dont think it will work too well with that dress.
Maybe try a large silk scarf as a wrap?

Re: Your opinion on these wraps.
Some of the silk-blend pashmina's have a sheerness to them...sort of like a georgette silk material. Very light and fluid, but will keep you warm, if need be.

I haven't bought from there but the site has been recommended on here before.

Re: Your opinion on these wraps.
I don't think I would like that wrap with the dress.
My wedding was last September on the weekend before yours (9/20). It as in the high 70s and so sunny it felt warmer. You can't predict the weather, but usually late Sept on LI is still warm.
I remember the same weekend the year before my wedding b/c I was already engaged and thinking of how it was one year to the wedding and it was so hot we went to the beach!

Yes your right for the past 2 years it has been warm... but you know how sometimes it can be really cold in Sept? We are doing all the pics outside so I thought it would be nice since they are in a Strapless and tea length dress. DO you think I should just forget it and if it is cold then they can bring their own sweater or something?

I say YES to your last sentence. Have them bring a sweater. There is no need for them to all match if they're not in the picture. Just a thought.
