Yes your right for the past 2 years it has been warm... but you know how sometimes it can be really cold in Sept? We are doing all the pics outside so I thought it would be nice since they are in a Strapless and tea length dress. DO you think I should just forget it and if it is cold then they can bring their own sweater or something?

I think it's a thoughtful gesture and regardless of the outdoor weather...restaurants/catering halls/etc can get pretty cold with the a/c on...it's nice to have something pretty to wrap yourself up in, rather than just some random sweater. JMO.

I agree. The onese on that cashmere site are nice.
the silk blend ones on the right seem to have the sheen you are looking for.
The ones on the left have better colors though.

It is very thoughtful of you but I don't think that it is necessary. My friend got married last Dec. and her BMs were wearing strapless dresses and standing out in the cold taking pictures...I'm sure that it won't be that cold in Sept.

I'd say to just go with your gut feeling. You don't need to give them anything else and they'll be dancing indoors and warm so won't need it them. And you probably won't want the wraps in the pictures so they'd take them off then. You're really only talking about a small period of time they'd use them. Unless you get a great deal, I'd say pass...

I think it's a good idea. They could definitely use them outside if it is cold but also at the reception sometimes the a/c makes the place so cold so they could use it there too. I am always cold so I know I would appreciate one.

I bought ivory pashminas from anntaylor.com for my bridal party. They are silk and I think really nice quality. They were originally $70 but they are on sale right now for $25.

Well. . . I made the wraps for my girls. I agree that the weather can be unpredicable, and I wanted them to have something pretty. (I'm one week after you.) If you know how to knit, I can give you more information. (There's a picture in my photo album, but you really can't tell how pretty they are from it.)

In Port Jefferson there is a store called Earring Tabu on East Main Street, across from the Library. I bought a beautiful silk wrap there at a very reasonable price. They carry beautiful accessories there. (Some stuff is VERY expensive and some isn't.)
