Your parents and your Inlaws

I know that at the rehersal dinner parents do meet and greet, but has everyone's FH's parents and their own met already? Do they get along?
I know mine met once it was very messy ( FMIL basically laid into them for kickin me out and basically acting as if I dont exist) and wont happen again so Im not worried.

Yes, our parents have already met and get along pretty well.

Ours have met and they get along. :) FH's dad always asks how my parents are.

My dad is in Devner, we are in Florida and FH's family is in NY. My mom met FMIL, but my dad will not meet the inlaws till the week of the wedding.
My mom has not seen my dad in over 12 yrs. Should be interesting

Ours haven't met & I am honestly DREADING it. My father is VERY judgemental.... and my mother has a very strong personality and NO FILTER on her. She says anything that comes into her mind.

I actually don't want them to meet. FH's family is so nice & normal & simple & my family is a WRECK.

THey have met and everyone gets along great. We do holiday's together now as a group. Its awesome. I consider myself very lucky.

We have been dating since we were 15, so our parents have had a lot of time to get to know each other. Now, they vacation together!

our parents met once, but its hard to say if they get along or not because FH's parents only speak German (his dad speaks very little english, only what he picked up fromw atching CNN Internation), and my parents only speak English. But they seemed to like eachother.

My mom and stepfather met my Fh's parents about two weeks ago.Everyone got along so well. It turns out my stepfather used to own my FBIL's house! Isnt' that bizarre?

They've met already. FH's parents took my parents out to dinner shortly after we were engaged. Everything went well.

my parents my FILS back in the HS prom days ( we have been together for almost 9 years) BUT i still find it very awkward. My parents are from Italy and sometimes slip into italian without realizing it - they are also in their 60s. His parents were born here and are very young. . .

they dont call eachother or anything but they get along well when they are together - i think i am the only one who feels uncomfortable lol

they met years ago and get along really well. His parents even visit mine when mine go to our PA house for the weekend! Grandparents get along very well too! :)
