Hi Girls, Besides the main wedding things...what extras must you have?
I want to get started with planning all the 'details' and need some ideas.

I don't think I will have many things you might consider 'extras'.
I am just upgrading lots of standard thing. My menu is RIDICULOUS (cocktail upgrades, veniesse hour, etc.) if I can say so, I got huge cars for our bridal party - an escalade and a limo bus (so we will have the partiers bus and the cal limo, we have both a band and a dj (band plays croatian and classic music and our dj will play hip hop and stuff theband can't) - pretty standrad fair.
I am using the bulk of my money on food and music and photos. I would love to have lighting but we are already spending a ridiculous amount so I think I may forgo a bunch of 'extras' and concentrate on the standards. Howevere, maybe this thread will inspire me!

The extras im really doing are mostly splurges on a crazy menu (italain must haves) CH/VH & extras like Martini Bar/luges. Also splurged on beautiful flowers because i really feel like besides lighting which would be an extra flowers make the room even more gorgeous! I guess extras also on upgrades fo rmy dinner menus & nicer church programs & fantastic invites!

well...
all the 'extras' that i needed to have at the reception (brick oven pizza guy... and two coctail rooms) ended up raising us to around 145 a head.... I also wanted to have 5 choices for dinner instead of the 3....
Our Must Have extras so far that have come up:
Program fans Old fashioned taxi cab Personalized tea bag favors to go with ours Not sure what else yet though :)

So far our extras are:
5 hour reception with Vienese hour. Cocktail hour music. Seafood boat. Chilean Sea Bass on the menu. Some extra stations thrown into the cocktail hour. Extravagant flowers.
The next think I am going to look into is lamb chops on the dinner menu, linen choices, and the tulling in the ballroom. I have to look into it.

my extra was def my photog & video. i'm having the dvd done in blu-ray format.
& my shoes which i haven't pick out yet but they will be either jimmy choo's or manolo's. gotta have comfy shoes!
RH has enough food & everything we like so that was fine. i might get a few things closer to the date but we'll see.
haven't really thought about anything else yet.

The only extras we may be getting involve food and photos:
I know we are having a Sushi bar at the CH Possibly a Mashtini bar at the CH also Possibly adding lamb to the dinner menu which would be an up charge.
Our cake is pretty intricate so I think that is an upcharge
My family and I are OBSESSED with photos so I am sure we will be getting extra re-prints and enlargements and my Mommy's parent album is going to be HUGE, but since she is paying for most of the wedding I think she MORE than deserves that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other than that we splurged on a Harpist for the Ceremony and our DJ will be doing CH music also!!

we want to do something different. and fun... i saw a few places that do tattoos and magicians but it's just a thought now i don't think they are gonna happen. i still want something but i'm not sure what yet.

we added the martini bar and I want a red velvet cake which i think is considered an upgrade. we have a lot of extras w/ our dj...jazz trio for CH, singer for meal times and percussionist.

i did a caviar & vodka station i am doing my menus in chocolate i got a cute lil number to change into to say goodbye and hit the town in

We are having a string quartet for the ceremony and a cigar roller during cocktail hour cuz FH loves them!

I forgot about the Champagne March...I always wanted one of them.
As of now....some of our extras (details) are: Viennesse Seafood Boat Martini Bar (FH's Detail...LOL) Lots of Pictures (2 photogs, 1 video plus a DJ Snapshot Person)
Little extras include: Here comes the bride banner DVD Wedding Highlights Thank You Cards Ceremony Montage (Since our ceremony is in New Jersey....for guests who can't make it) Photo Group Room (Requesting guests to upload pics)
Must still figure out: Newsdays and Bagel or Doughnut farewell gifts (Newsday since my fiance put the proposal in a half page ad in the paper)
I love DETAILS...That's probably my biggest wedding stresser right now...I don't want to miss anything....lol

No extras yet... we're waiting to see how much all of the basic stuff costs and then the last few months we'll see what other fun stuff we can add!

Lol, this is a great thread, because my 'extra's list' keeps growing with more ideas that I see on wedding shows or on here. So far I want/have:
Mini-Viennese w/ Ice Cream Bar Candy Buffet Chocolate Fountain Chair Covers and Upgraded Limos 2 plasma TV's and lighting extras Upgraded photo albums Ceremony music - harp or string quartet Escalade stretch Martini Luge Personalized Aisle Runner
That's all I can think of for now..I'm sure I'll be adding to this list as planning goes on
