Re: Cost of Wedding Ceremony at Planting Fields??
$1500. for the ceremony$200. refundable 'flower removal' fee (they only keep it if you don't follow the rule of no rose petals on the floor and they're not cleaned up afterwards)
$120. for photo permit to take pictures on grounds (photos inside the Great Room in Coe Hall are included in $1500. fee)
Let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help! There are a lot of rules and restrictions that we had to abide by. But we were very happy with everything.

Is this the cost for the indoor ceremony or the outdoor ceremony. That's a lot of money!!!

Re: Cost of Wedding Ceremony at Planting Fields??
You think that's a lot, you should check out some of the other mansions on the island. Some of the site fees were more than double that!
Seriously though, I thought so too when I was looking at it. But it was 15 minutes from our reception, had a back up plan in case of rain, was elegant and formal, we had 4 hours use of the room, and it's the kind of place I'd dreamed of being married, me being a nature freak and gardener and all.
You can also get married in the 'formal' Rose Garden for much less. But there's no back up plan in case of rain, there isnt' a lot of room for chairs, and it's just not as pretty. Plus there's a somewhat dilapidated building right behind it.

That's correct! I also priced them and that's not THAT expensive. I was going to do the rose garden but they are going to do renovations to it and there is no back up plan for the outside.
Other mansions quoted me $5300 for site usage (nothing else included)... just use of the grounds.

I went to a total different route. I could afford those prices either.

Wow, that's crazy! I wonder how many people actually pay that though.
I looked at Wave Hill gardens on the Hudson but it was insanely out of our price range. But oh if we were rich, I really would have done it there. It's so beautiful.
I guess these places count on wedding couples that are independantly wealthy! I know I'm not!
