My vows were in Hebrew so I was concentrating on not messing them up. BUT I did cry when I was walking down the aisle.

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

omg..ask any of the girls who attended...i lost it several times and i had no voice...and in order to go out there at all, i had to have a shot! i had been cool, calm and collected in the final weeks...but i'd been listening to the CD of the ceremony and reception music I'd made 'in order' and it was making me tear up the last couple of weeks before....so when i started hearing it the day of, i lost it completely.

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

I cried when I had just gotten my hair and make-up done and put the dress on and then saw everyone looking at me and the moms were looking like they were going to cry and I started to cry and everyone yelled because i was messing up my make-up. It was sweet and funny.

But, no I didn't cry at the vows, even though I thought I would.

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

as i was walking down the aisle with my dad i was telling myself 'dont cry, dont cry, dont cry'. i didnt want to look at my BM's because i could hear them all crying. i didnt want to look at my mom's face cause her eyes were all watery. but the minute i looked at DH and he shook my dad's hand and then my dad reached out to hug him, i started getting all teary and fought REALLY hard to keep the tears from running down my face and ruining my makeup.

i cried REALLY, REALLY hard when i had my father/daughter dance!

I was fine the whole time, and then I cried when after the reading at our ceremony, my oldest stepdaughter added a speech about how happy she is that I'm her mother now!!!

That did it!!!!

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

I cry at almost everything!
So all through planning I knew I was going to be crying a river through saying my vows BUT surprise, surprise! I was so happy that day, the tears wouldnt come. My family still has no idea how that happened but you can never tell how the emotion of the moment will hit you.

I didn't cry at all, I thought I would walking down the aisle at church or saying my vows, but I didn't.

I was soooooooo happy. I had a big smile on the whole time.

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

I'm not really a crier so I don't know what is going to happen. I didn't cry at the proposal or anything. The only time I have cried in the whole process was when my boss told me he didn't think he was going to approve my honeymoon 7 weeks out- those were tears of pure hatred though

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

Not really a crier so I didnt cry at my proposal even though I was totally shocked about it.

But I cried like a baby on my wedding day. - when I first saw him and then later when i said my vows.

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

i didnt cry. i am not a crier in public about emotions. i will cry when i go to the doctors, b/c i am afraid of needles...

when it comes to emotional stuff, i will laugh out of nervousness. i was sort of laughing when i was doing my vows b/c of this. it is horribly embarassing, b/c i am afraid people will not take me seriously. i laughed at a funeral one time and i was horrified.

I didn't cry when he proposed- he did. I probably won't cry during the wedding either. What can I say?

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

I didn't cry when he proposed because I lost my breathe and had a choking fit. My eyes were running but not crying. I thought I would cry walking down the aisle but it was all too exciting, plus I didn't want to mess up my makeup.

I didn't and I'm a crier. I was very disappointed in myself. I thought for sure I would be balling my eyes out. We both were very calm and collective.

Re: For the married girls who DIDN'T cry when they were proposed to...

Nope didn't cry during the proposal or on my wedding day. I only came close once because my BMs have me crap in the limo ride, so I almost cried out of frustration.

Strange thing is plenty of silly things like commercials or songs made me cry during the planning, and I've cried at every other wedding I've been to this year, but didn't cry at my own.
