Guest Cancellations at the last minute!

Within the last 4 days, I have now lost 5 guests. I am just 3 people over my minimum now, so if anyone else decides not to come, unless its an emergency, I am going to flip out!!

Don't stress over this. The RH's are good about adjusting to make it right by you.

I lost 5 people in the last 2 days - 3 due to deaths in the family and 2 due to the flu.... what can you do?

Just enjoy your day!

I had a guest cancel on me 3 days before I had to make the last payment, and after all the tables were done. That's the worst headache is redoing the table seating chart and placecards.

Just relax and those that want to be there will be there to be part of your wedding day!

We lost 6 people the week of our wedding. It happens, talk to your hall maybe they will make some adjustments.

I lost 5. 4 I knew about a day before and 1 person didn't show up with the guest they said they were coming with

I had 7 people not show up on the day of the wedding with no advance notice that they weren't going to be there. I was pissed, but don't let it bother you on your day.

Dont stress over it Laura. I think this is something almost all of us experience a few days before or even the day of. I know my sister had 3 no shows for her wedding.
I cant believe your day is just about here. It feels like just yesterday we met and were saying we have so many months to go.

we had 4 cancel the week of and one th day before, don't stress it. the halls understand that things happen. you won't be held responsible.

I could only imagine how annoying that is!

Some halls will throw in things to make up the difference (example: Chair Covers, Chocolate Fountain, Something extra in the CH, etc.) if you fall under the minimum. They may still have to charge you for your minimum amount of people, but they are usually understanding and don't want that money to be a waste to you, so they will give you something to add to your party.

So sorry that you are having people cancel, but at least they are letting you know and not pulling a no show on you!

let me tell you I had 12 people not cancel/not show up to my wedding!!!!

I wouldn't let it bother you. As long as the most important people are there-that is all that matters.

boy, september must have been the month for it...i had 11 people not show the day of the wedding...4 of them i knew had an emergency (family death in the same family) but the other 7..2 of em were my friends parents!! 2 of them had a newborn about 3 weeks before the wedding, and when we asked them 2 weeks before the wedding, if maybe we should take them off the list they told us 'positively not, we will be there!!'...and then they never showed!! no babysitter (way to plan in advance)...2 of em spent the nite in the hospital after the husband had a flag football injury (tru story lol)..and then one idiot who was DH's friend that i didnt care for anyway had some excuse...
rude rude rude...id NEVER do that to someone!!
and they think like its the check youre concerned with, no im sorry its the 10 people i COULDNT afford to invite because i paid for your dumb a**es!! lol...sorry alil post wedding venting ;)

At least you had people give you reasons for not being there. 2 of DH's friends (and guests) did not show up and never called. We still don't know why. People are completely rude.

I just had three myself....it does stink but I guess stuff happens...

Don't stress. I had the same problem. I actually called the reception hall the day before to tell them who wasn't coming because people were cancelling that close to the wedding.

I had 5 cancellations in the few days before and doy of the wedding and I just realzied after the honeymoon that I had one no show as well

....and unfortunately, if any of you saw my thread on BHB, my dads longtime friend passed away yesterday.
Hopefully nobody will just not show up, I cant think of anything ruded than that
