How would you wear your hair with a mantilla veil?

I'm definitely getting a mantilla veil, I'm just confused as to how I should wear my hair.
I've would loveeee to have my hair down in curls, but I just wanna see what you ladies think would go well w/ a mantilla.

Hey I sort of have a mantilla and i originally really wanted to wear my hair down with girls but to be honest everytime i had a hair trial down it just didnt go well with my dress..... I'm not sure if it's the dress or the veil...but the way the lace frames your face, in my opinion there's too much going on if the hair is down. either way feel free do do whatever makes you feel the most beautiful! I decided after struggling with this to wear my hair in a low up do...not pulled back too tight.

Honestly, I've seen a few mantillas, and they have always had their hair back for those weddings.

I think it looks classic and elegent....I think hair down with the mantilla gets to be too busy

My hair's about mid-back and a bit on the thick side, but not tooooo insanely thick. Naturally, my hair is wavy/curly.

Yeah i was soo set on wearing my hair down but I LOOOVE my veil so I decided on up b/c it just looked too busy...i think if you have shorter hair though wearing it down could work. I never thought of myself as classic bride but turns out the mantilla makes u look classic either way.

I think you can totally wear it down.

Maybe talk to your hair stylist and see what she suggests?

Edit to say that half up would totally work too.

very pretty veils!! my hair is very similar to what you're describing...and it can still look very full and nice with curls sort of pinned up loosely towards the back...and not look like a real up-do, you know? but if you're heart is set on wearing it down then you can still maek it work!

I think another 2010 bride had this too and it looked gorgeous...the name is escaping me now but she got married in november and did a winter theme at the royalton ---oh wait i remember, kerrijohn?

I'm wearing my mom's veil and didn't know it had a name. Well now I know its a mantilla! Anyways, I want to wear my hair half up half down curly. I say go for whatever you want to do!
