Jericho Terrace and Leonards
Ok I am officially sure that I am trying to drive myself insane!! I can't even remember how many RH's I've been to at this point! Last nite I went to go see Jericho Terrace and Leonards...both are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! At first I didn't consider either because I had wanted to find a place by the water, but I wasn't getting that 'feeling' at any except Surf Club, and I'm not too happy with the menu they are offering me there. So I need to hear your girls opinions on Leonards and Jericho Terrace, I am really, really torn!!Leonards - I absoluvely LOVE the reception room, I only got to peek at tha cocktail room because there was a wedding going on but from what I see it was really pretty. The Lobbys are pretty too, some parts are a little over-done (just my opinion!) but its still pretty. Also, FH and I had our prom there about a year after we started going out on June 4th, and that date is available..and March 4th is our anniversary so I like the whole idea of that...One thing I didn't like was the BM, he just wasn't very personable at all, he wasn't mean or rude or anything, just spoke with a very thick accent and just got straight to the point with everything. For girls who booked, who is your BM?? oOo I also have a food tasting with them this Saturday.
Jericho Terrace - BREATH TAKING and great for pictures pretty much everywhere you turn, and pictures are a big deal for me. Their Lobby and outside area are BEAUTIFUL!! However, the room that I'm going to be in 'The Oak Room' I'm really not thrilled with at all. I know JT has a lot nicer rooms that are more my 'feel'. The BM manager, was the easier person I've ever talked to - he was so down to earth, funny and helpful!!! I just emailed him to see if another room was available to me and now I'm waiting on his answer...
So come on girls - give me the good the bad and the ugly!!!! I am the most indecisive person EVER and my FH is no help at all..he thinks they're all nice. I know he wants me to be happy so he's trying not to influence me with his opinion///

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
that is tough because everyone raves about both! I hear Leonard's is amazing (I haven't been there since they redid it though so I don't know how it is).At the same time I'm DYING to go to a wedding at JT because I've heard awesome things about it.
You can't go wrong. If you love them both equally I say go with whichever place gives you a better deal - that's what i did.
good luck

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
I have been to Leonards 3 times, the most recent being May of 2007. The food was just OK in my opinion. We booked at JT based on food, decor and location. I found that Leonards and Jt run neck and neck in cost of food, and we felt the quality was much better at JT.
JT has new linens, the place has been remodeled and its super clean.
I like that every room has been remodeled and kept very very immaculate.

I love JT, the only thing I am not crazy about is the amount of affairs they have there on a given night. Other than that the place is amazing. My friend got married at Leonards and raved about it.
You should walk into the rh and KNOW that it is the one where you will celebrate your marriage, don't worry about which one other people like better
Good Luck

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
I went looking at both and Leonards and JT. The food at Leonards is great the only thing I didnt like was there were so many parties happening at the same time that you had to wait in the bathroom and it was all mixed up. I personally like the places that have the own Bridal suite. And if you are going to spend that $$$ go for what you want. What matters more? Food your comfort?? The setting?? Good luck Either way I think you are in good hands. They are both really nice

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
We booked at leonards, and have heard excellent reviews about them recently. It is really all about personal preference. We met with Antonio, who had an accent and was to the point but we didnt mind it, we are used to thick italian accents...
We are having a big italian wedding and knew leonards was for us as soon as we walked in.
oh and, every hall has more than one event...unless it is specifically a one event place.

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
I have only been to Leonards on New Years Eve and that is not a fair judgement of the place. But, I have to say it is beautiful and the pictures will come out great. I had my wedding at Jericho Terrace on Saturday so I am completely biased. In my honest opinion however, it was was nothing short of amazing. The food the look and especially the service was done to perfection.

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
I'm booked at Leonards, and didn't even consider JT. If you want a really personable BM at Leonards you should ask to speak with Maurizio, he's AWESOME!FH and I love the opulent feel of Leonards, especially the chandelier and staircase...I've seen some photos taken on the staircase and they're absolutely breathtaking!
Plus, the food at Leonards is really good. They have food tastings once a month on Saturdays, it's only the cocktail food, but it's REALLY good! FH and I especially LOVED the eggplant rollatini!

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
If you go with leonards, make sure you get maurizio for your bm! He is the BEST! I was in the same predicament with you but as you can see, I chose Leonards...it's really a toss up, i'm not going to trash JT because it's a beautiful hall and everyone has different preferences and styles, one hall isn't better than the other. But Leonard's was more my style...Just try to envision exactly how you want your wedding to be, and choose the hall that fits the best..HTH!

Re: Jericho Terrace and Leonards
I read every responce and I'll take them all into consideration! I really appreciate each one of your comments!! I do believe I can have a beautiful wedding at either place, I just really don't know how to choose at this point. I think I'm going to stop by each of them again this weekend. I want to see the Skylight room at JT, and I'll go for the tasting at Leonards and hopefully I can make a decision. FH and I have a lot of talking to do!! Thanks again!!! You girls are the best!

I also had a peeve with Leonards at the engagement party we attended in May of last year. They had 2 events going on that Saturday and their parking lot got full. More than half of the guests who attended the e-party we were at had to park their cars out of the lot because Valet would not.
Can you imagine? 100 people trying trying to park on and around northern Blvd?
And that was just from the event we attended.
