Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

I just picked mine up for my wedding on 9/21- the store told me that it's fine the wrap them now as long as there are kept in a cool, dry place!

I'm not really sure, but if you call Ralph's Rotten Nut Pound...I'm sure that they will be able to tell you. Their number is 631.351.1638.

Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

Hopefully the humidity will break, becasue my house is not cool or dry!

I think I will store the ones I have made at my job, I think the A/C is on all the time.

Thanks

Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

I am attaching the poem to the bag of 5 almonds.
They are fine in the plastic bag, but I opened them and put them into the organza one's which I think might get melted becasue of the humidity

Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

this is the one I am using

Jordan Almonds for Thee

Five sugared almonds for each guest to eat
To remind us that life is both bitter and sweet.
Five wishes for the new husband and wife --
Health, wealth, happiness, children, and a long life!

Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

I have extra vellum from my programs, so I will be printing it on vellum and putting a small hole in the tag and tieing it to the organza bag

Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

We aren't doing a poem but this is the insert we are using:

Sugar Almond Bomboniere is an Italian wedding tradition meant to remind relatives and friends of the happiest moments of our lives. The almonds, with their natural bitterness covered with sugar, symbolize the “bittersweet” life of a married couple. The five almonds represent Health, Wealth, Fertility, Happiness, and Long Life.

Thank you for sharing in our very special day!

Re: Jordan Almonds QUestion

You should put the organza bags witht he almonds in them in a big ziploc bag just to keep the moisture of the air out of them. They could get a little moist and the coloring may smudge if they get wet.
