Long Island Wine for OOT guest baskets?

I'm trying to find a Long Island vineyard that does 1/2 bottles or mini bottles of their wine to put in the out of town baskets? Anybody know any???
I called Pindar but they only do full bottles. Thanks!

Call your local wine store directly. They'll actually have better prices than the vineyards... Yup, seriously!

Re: Long Island Wine for OOT guest baskets?

I think many of the wine stores here carry local wines. I know I have bought Pindar and Duck walk many times from different places. And they may be willing to buy them for you if they don't carry them. I know when I have gone to a wine store and asked about a specific wine, they have written it down and taken my number or email and contacted me when they got it in.

There's a Pindar wine store in Port Jeff that sells the small bottles for a good cost.

I don't know where you live, but Bottle Bargains in Fort Salonga (Northport) sells FULL BOTTLES of Pindar Winter White for about $4.50, regardless of how many you buy.

Also, Stew leonard's in Farmingdale offers discounted prices on many LI Wines.

You may be able to get full bottles for what you were planning on spending for minis!

Yes, but not the ones close to the vineyards. (The vineyards usually don't sell the wine sellers right near them because they want a monopoly over the area in which they operate...)

I know plenty of wine stores in nassau that sell all sorts of LI wines. You'll be able to find them in wine stores - and the stores will be able to tell you if they can get the smaller sized bottles.

Isn't that a wine store and not a vineyard?

The wine stores will be cheaper than the vineyards almost every time... though there are always exceptions.

Re: Long Island Wine for OOT guest baskets?

We were at Peconic a few weeks ago and the half bottles of Chardonay were on sale, I think they were less than $4 a bottle and if you buy a case it was 15% off.

You could try to call them. 631-734-7361
