Manhasset Bay Yacht Club

Anyone a member? Has anyone been there for an affair or seen the inside? I would like to go see it but they are currently doing construction. Just wondering if it was worth the trip?

Re: Manhasset Bay Yacht Club

There website stinks! It's really only for boaters. There is one picture of the outside but that is it. Tell me, can you remember if there are any grounds or greenery etc. My FH loves golf course and I love the water so in a perfect world both would be great (it's a stretch I know but its worth asking!) Is it suitable for a wedding?

Re: Manhasset Bay Yacht Club

From what I remember, it's right on the water, so no room for a course, or much greenery for that matter. It's right on Plandome Rd, so it's not on too much land. On one side is an apartment complex, and on another is Louie's restaurant I think. The views onto the harbor are nice, especially at sunset, since it's facing West. Unfortunately, I don't remember the inside much at all.

I haven't heard of many weddings there, but that doesn't mean it's not a good idea - have you asked for their prices, or whether or not you have to be a member to sponsor you for a wedding?

Re: Manhasset Bay Yacht Club

There prices were reasonable enough for me to consider it (around $100 pp i think - gee i call soo many places i can't even remember anymore!) And yes i would need to have someone sponsor me if I fell in love with it. They didn't even have any pics to send me b/c of the construction! That stinks.

Re: Manhasset Bay Yacht Club

I've been to a wedding there. it's absolutely beautiful. I don't think they hold
too many people but it's one of the classiest places i've seen. i wanted to look there
but too many of my guests either belong there or have been married there.
i would definitely give it a try!
