Mary Corsetieres
Does anyone know how long it takes to get a long-line bra from Mary's?What if they fit me for one, and I lose a lot of weight? I'm guessing it would be adjustable???
Also, any other input or feedback on going for this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Mary Corsetieres
they don't take appointments. I went there twice. The first time I went I waited 2 hours, when I went back they said i wouldn't have to wait long.. well that was an hour and a half.... but I love the long line bra and they altered it right there for me.

Re: Mary Corsetieres
Do you take the longline bra home the same day? How long do the alterations take?

Re: Mary Corsetieres
I went to Mary's -- didn't like it. First off, I waited almost two hours to see someone and then they seemed annoyed. Its pretty cool that they do alterations on bras, but they have only one 'wedding' corset. It's got a lot of very obvious boning so if your dress is on the thiner side, as mine is, it will not work. Now I've got a credit...I really don't feel like waiting again!
PS - If you go, make sure you wear bikini undies -- if you have a thong they will not let you try on their stuff and you will need to buy new undies.

Re: Mary Corsetieres
My family owns Mary's Corsetieres. I am not being biast when saying this but they do amazing work, which would explain the long waits. They are a very small store with a very large clientele. I've gotten work done on gowns, dresses, bathing suits, bras and clothing...they will custom tailor everything to fit you perfectly. They can give you extra cleavage or padding (even in bathing suits), minimize your chest, suck you in (corsets), prosthetics, attach any bra into your gown, etc. Although right now they are closed for a few weeks, as they always are around this time.

Re: Mary Corsetieres
I don't know anything about Mary Corsetieres, but I am a VERY UNUSUAL size. I usually have to get my everyday bras made for me. I went to Sylvia's Corsettes on Merrick Road ( I am not sure what town they are in). They not only were able to get the bra I needed (strapless backless corset), they got it for me in a week. And, that one did not fit as they expected, so the lady went in the back and was able to find one that fit me perfectly. I have never had a bra shopping experience like that before. It was wonderful!

Re: Mary Corsetieres
I LOVE Mary's I got my undergarments there for my wedding and could not be happier! They did not have the color corset I needed so they let me take a white one and pinned with my alterations, so that I was able to have it exact for my fittings! When my color came in I just gave them back the borrowed one and got mine altered!!The lines are LONG, but the end result is really worth it!!

Re: Mary Corsetieres
Just a suggestion but how about Georgette's in Bethpage. They carry all lines for large and small breasts. I was a 32F and they actually carried my size. The women there are very very helpful. It is located on Hicksville Road right by Applebee's in Bethpage/Hicksville. It is in the border of these 2 towns.
Good luck...

Re: Mary Corsetieres
Love Mary's!!!they knew my size right away and if you do lose more weight they will take it in, even after you purchase it.
The lines are long, but worth it!!
